In the wake of Saturdays Tucson, Ariz., shooting that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in critical condition, six dead and more than a dozen injured, former Alaska gov. Sarah Palin reached out to Foxs Glenn Beck via e-mail.
Sarah, as you know, peace is always the answer. I know you are felling the same heat, if not much more on this, Beck wrote Palin in an e-mail, which he read on-air during his radio program Monday.
I want you to know you have my full support, Beck told Palin. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Concerned for her safety, Beck urged Palin to protect herself and invest in more security because an attempt on you could bring the Republic down.
There are nutjobs on all sides, Beck said. Tomorrow I am issuing a challenge to reject all violence. If people really believe Americans can become some version of al Qaeda, I will not stand in the shadows as too many overseas did after 9/11. Terror is terror. I dont care if its for Allah or for your party, you are not a freedom fighter, but a killer. There is a difference between a hard-fought political battle and violence Its time for politics to stop and sanity to begin.
Palin responded, I hate violence. I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence. Thanks for all you do to send the message of truth and love and God as the answer.
Beck went on to say a few brief words about Giffords, who he had talked about on his show once before.
I used her as an example of someone with some political courage, Beck said.
Since Saturdays massacre, both Beck and Palin have been criticized by dozens of pundits and bloggers. Palin has been accused of inspiring the incident for creating a map during elections targeting districts of several liberal lawmakers, including Giffordss district, with the cross hairs of a rifle scope and instructing her followers, Dont retreat, reload.

I hate to think what would happen if someone got to Sarah Palin. It would be very bad.
“......because an attempt on you could bring the Republic down.
I completely agree.
The leftists would be celebrating. The leftists media would say she brought it on herself for killing a caribou.
Note the date on this FR post.
I think so to more than people could imagine. Prayers to her.
I agree with him, but would say the same for him or Rush. The right is very controlled. But, I am afraid the emotion of something horrific like that would prove Beck right.
The bullet that would bring down a Palin or a Beck would be the first bullet in Revolution II, They would be Martyrs and heroes with their faces on the New Gold Backed Dollars. Lots of people would die and the nation ripped to pieces in the process. Lets pray this never happens to our great land. Still, I am starting to believe that this land needs to be purges of her sins, as in the Civil War. Let us work to heal the nation—not divide her more!
Not for long...
If ONE hair is harmed on Sarah Palin’s head, Glenn is right, it is the end of our republic..of course the leftist media would be celebrating, it would be like their favorite team won the super bowl. Since the moment we saw her in 2008, the leftist media has wanted someone to take her down, they don’t even hide it anymore, they say it everyday how whoever does it will be a hero
March 29th 2010?
while we may feel this, I think this was a statement best left for the blogs and not a “major” public figure as Beck. Immature, imho.
The ultimate insanity! The left have closed themselves up in cities with no food and no guns.
The right controls all of the food, all of the fuel, most of the water, and virtually all of the guns and the knowledge to use them.
Bad situation to initiate hostilities!
I agree. Let’s not let this descend into attempts to destroy our country.
It would indeed be bad. For one reason only. Those on the left would engage in unrestrained celebration and would not be able to contain themselves. They would spew such hatred as we have little seen from them in the past. It would spawn open warfare between the two sides of the coin.
