At 2:00 a.m. on Saturdayabout eight hours before he allegedly killed six people and wounded 14, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), in TucsonJared Lee Loughner phoned an old and close friend with whom he had gone to high school and college. The friend, Bryce Tierney, was up late watching TV, but he didn't answer the call. When he later checked his voice mail, he heard a simple message from Loughner: "Hey man, it's Jared. Me and you had good times. Peace out. Later."
That was it. But later in the day, when Tierney first heard about the Tucson massacre, he had a sickening feeling: "They hadn't released the name, but I said, 'Holy shit, I think it's Jared that did it.'" ...
In messages on MySpace last month, Loughner declared, "I'll see you on National T.v.! This is foreshadow." He also noted on the website, "I don't feel good: I'm ready to kill a police officer! I can say it." ...
"I think the reason he did it was mainly to just promote chaos. He wanted the media to freak out about this whole thing. He wanted exactly what's happening. He wants all of that."

Pinto: I won't go schizo, will I?
Professor Jennings: It's a distinct possibility.
“I keep wondering WHERE in the world were his parents?”
That is the question of the week and where was the sheriff, when the college police went to killer’s home to tell him to stay away because of his threatening actions/words in class?

America needs to hear the truth over every media source daily. The truth is NOT getting out. Only lies and Leftist propaganda. And they will keep getting much worse because they have no consequences or accountability for their lies.
Watch for them to classify any opinion that does not fit their agenda as “Hate Speech”. In other words, all Conservatives will become criminals because of their ideology, principles and dedication to the Constitution.
From the information released so far, he was most likely an atheist or a Devil worshiper so we will have to wait and see. I doubt he had any connection with the Jewish faith. However, it would interesting to know if he had a Bar Mitzvah. According to his mother's tradition, he should have. I dunno?
However, your point is valid. He could have easily entered a reformed synagogue unencumbered both as a Jew and as a general nutcase.
...of whom the press has told us NOTHING, ZIppo! Why?
This pyscho killer was apparently an avowed athesist and proud and vocal about being one.
This psycho killer may be just the tip of a very dangerous and large group of similiar young men.
Our younger relatives describe as guys like this pos, as failures to launch. These losers in life, live at home with their mother, parents or an older sibling.
They have zero job skills and spend a lot of time at the local community colleges pretending to be students.
They seldom work because they have zero job skills and people skills.
They are big fans of the night time talk show hosts, and creeps like Letterman cater to them with their Bush/Palin/Palin children battering.
Most haven’t had a date in years if ever. In today’s world where intelligent young women often run a credit check on anyone wanting to date them. These losers have no chance re romance in todays world.
So they replace that possibility with drugs and possibly homosexual partners.
They love Obama, because he promises them our earnings for his votes.
When Obama tells them to bring a gun to a knife fight or he will kick butt, they get glassy eyed and join similiar losers to help their cult leader, Obama.
He's a mentally ill young man who was trying to impress a woman he was fixated on with how superior and brilliant he was.
Yeah, thanks to a supine, or worse activist-lefist, judiciary. Still don’t wish for more unconstitutional laws just because they might otherwise be good laws per se.
Candor...once a child is leagal age the laws work against parents who might want to institutionalize their children. After a womans son had shot himself and another she spoke of the lifelong fight they had in seeking help for their son, from the age of ten. It was heartwretching hearing her story of multiple trips to mental health professionals...time and again...in every area within the healthcare system, from halfway houses to institutions, seeking answers and a way to help her son.
It is not uncommon even when medicine is even slightly effective that these people cease to take it and another episode insues....even with it.
It’s a tremendous burden on the parents and family members. So I say let’s wait and see, for it appears their was intervention several times along the way.
I agree. Parents don't "create" schizophrenics, and the contemporary mental health system and laws relating to mental illness make it almost impossible for them to get help for their children, particularly once the children are of legal age.
I do think the sheriff should have been notified by the community college when they suspended Loughner and required him to seek treatment because of his threatening behavior. Or possibly the sheriff was notified and didn't do anything, although by this time it was obvious even to outsiders that there was something seriously wrong with Loughner.
The sheriff is an older man who is clearly a flaming liberal and hence would be weak on the issue of dealing with mental illness, since it was the liberal loonies who decided that the mentally ill were just expressing their dissatisfaction with capitalism...I'm not kidding, that's what Lang taught. He was all the rage back in the 60s and 70s.
(For those of you who aren't familiar with the story, Mark David Chapman was the guy who murdered John Lennon back in 1980.)
One interesting thing the prison official mentioned is that high-profile prisoners like Chapman get tons of "fan mail" all the time -- all of it opened and read by the warden's office before it can be passed on to the prisoner.
The interviewer sounded surprised at this, and asked what the letters contained.
The prison guy said (paraphrasing here): "The letters come from people who tell Chapman that they admire him so much for what he did, and how effective he had been at stalking and killing his prey."
The interviewer's eyes were probably bugging out of his head by this time. He told the prison official he found that terribly disturbing.
The prison guy then said (again, paraphrasing here): "Oh, those are the mild ones. The most disturbing letters are the ones that say all of that, then list one or two people -- usually celebrities or political figures -- that the letter's sender has targeted in a similar manner. You'd be shocked if I told you how many of those letters he gets."
That was one of the most fascinating interviews I've ever heard.
Interestingly, murder is not a Federal crime (unless perhaps it occurs on Federal property or in the District of Columbia). And I may be wrong about this, but I believe that even an assassination attempt on a U.S. president (successful or not) would be prosecuted under state criminal laws.
If the feds convict him, Arizona is spared the expense of a trial. If for some reason he gets off on the federal charges, Arizona has the opportunity to separately charge him for the other murders.
The man is 22 years old and obviously crazy.
At some point, "the parents" are no longer an issue.
See my Post #95. I'm not sure when those Federal laws were passed, but I thought I read some years ago that these cases were prosecuted under state law, not Federal.
One interesting point here is that there will have to be a lot of information dug up from Loughner's personal belongings and computer files by the Federal prosecutor as part of this case. In the Federal case involving the Congresswoman and the Federal judge, Loughner's lawyer is likely to mount a defense by claiming that the shooting was random and that Loughner didn't know the victims were Federal employees. That strategy might actually work when it comes to the murder charge involving the Federal judge, if the information I've seen is correct. It sounds to me as if the judge just happened to be on the scene after stopping on his way home, and Loughner may have had no idea who he was.
If you listen to "anarchists", what they are against is government protection for private property. They want to loot without opposition, which makes them a more-pure version of the Communist.
That would be enough evidence all by itself, that if one were wishing to project guilt by association with others whom shared in this wacko's 'mindset', then blaming the Tea Party or conservatives in general, is 180 degrees out of whack.
What is it going to take to get certain elements of the HuffnPuff, Daily Kos, DU crowd to see this?
My guess is the "drive bys", lead by liberal media outlets will continue. The truth, to them, is like sunlight to a vampire. So they will need to MoveON.org, just like yesterday, and the day before.
I hope I'm wrong. I'll be grateful for whatever extent people of good conscience will prove me wrong.
Meanwhile, the senseless murder of the judge, the little girl, and others, along with the tragic shooting of Representative Giffords leaves us all poorer, particularly those closest to it.
That's the real story, and the one which was being overshadowed by the DRIVE BY MEDIA's zeal & hatred of those they perceive their political enemies.
