At 2:00 a.m. on Saturdayabout eight hours before he allegedly killed six people and wounded 14, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), in TucsonJared Lee Loughner phoned an old and close friend with whom he had gone to high school and college. The friend, Bryce Tierney, was up late watching TV, but he didn't answer the call. When he later checked his voice mail, he heard a simple message from Loughner: "Hey man, it's Jared. Me and you had good times. Peace out. Later."
That was it. But later in the day, when Tierney first heard about the Tucson massacre, he had a sickening feeling: "They hadn't released the name, but I said, 'Holy shit, I think it's Jared that did it.'" ...
In messages on MySpace last month, Loughner declared, "I'll see you on National T.v.! This is foreshadow." He also noted on the website, "I don't feel good: I'm ready to kill a police officer! I can say it." ...
"I think the reason he did it was mainly to just promote chaos. He wanted the media to freak out about this whole thing. He wanted exactly what's happening. He wants all of that."

Me too dear, me too :(
Yes, I know that, even before they reach legal age parent's options are limited. And its thanks to the same left wing kooks now blaming 'the Right', who didn't want these wacko's institutionalized because: "They Have Rights". That's why I said, "back in the good old days." Back then, family members, like parents, along with with a doctor(s) could have an 'adult' put away for 'Observation' to start off. (insane people don't think they're crazy so they sure as 'heck' won't commit themselves to a 'Hospital'.).
So thanks to hand wringing do-gooders - and the ACLU - we have psychos walking the street and legally able to buy a gun, and now people are dead. But hell, if he didn't have a gun he could have used a friggen Hammer, a Screw Driver, or a knife to kill people. The point is - he was out in public freely walking among us.
Yes, I can agree to what you’re saying here. I think our laws no longer represent protecting the people, as you know also, rather they protect criminals, the insane, the weirdos and the nutcases at every level...and unfortunately many of them know this.
I agree also that if didn’t have a gun he would have used something else..a bomb..or whatever. He was out to do violence either way. And one doesn’t have to be insane to desire that either.
Thanks for your posts.
How do you know they didn’t? Every case is different, so to compare yours to this one is not useful. Also, since the shooting, we have all been appalled at the Left’s rush to judgment, so we should be cautious about doing the same. I see current news reports that the parents are in some kind of stand off with the FBI. I will withhold judgment until I know more.
Over in the OLD ARCHIVES at news.google.com .... I did a simple search, simply for LOUGHNER ARIZONA -- that was all, I didn't even search any of their full names.
Amy was a Park Manager, I don't know if she still is.

Hope this one works, LOL

His mother was busy being a high-level bureaucrat in Pima County.
Good point. I was making the assumption the boy hasn’t had treatment because he was issued a gun license. His state may be different.
I wonder if they are “scrubbing” his room and the house so he will have a positive image homelife.
I self-reported the post, btw. Hopefully it will be removed.

*ping* - here’s a URL to a few news stories in the PAST about Amy Loughner, a park manager in AZ.
"Jared's dad, Randy Loughner, works for the State of Arizona's Child Protective Services. The authorities have been sticklers for keeping that one under wraps."
Freeper satindoll just informed me of this in another thread.
True, if he truly is schizophrenic, which remains to be determined. That said, I think it is quite likely.
I didn't know it manifests later rather than sooner. Thanks for the input.

Satindoll is a steady Freeper. You can make book on it if she discovered it.
Buck up you RINOS. Shame!
Did Randy Lee Loughner OR Randy Loughner, whatever he's know by ever try to get his obviously psychotic son some professional help?????
Surely he knew where to go for help for Jared since he works for Child Protective Services, right???
Save for later read
