It's not AZ's RTC law that led to the Tucson massacre. It's that no citizen used their gun to stop Jared Loughner cold. If anything, every one needs to have the RTC to protect their persons and property - no matter how much the Los Angeles Times disapproves of it.

It's that no citizen used their gun to stop Jared Loughner cold It was a gathering of Democrats... who are scared of those loud gun things.

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Just in case anyone forgot what the Second Amendment says.

This Clarence Duprik certainly is one. He needs to be retired.
I won't criticize any armed AZ citizen who did not draw in that crowded chaos Saturday.
I'm not a firearm owner but this must not be turned into a gun-grabbing opportunity. Arizona does not need to become like CA.

Gee, Loughner seems to have lied when he checked some of the answers on his 4473.

New York City has had the Sullivan Act since 1911. That certainly has done a lot to reduce murders and eliminate guns in 90 years. NOT!
A number of NYC gangs would/can still make a somewhat effective gun from a cap pistol. I will refrain from describing how, at this time. Are we to ban cap pistols?
BTW, NYC used to offer (I don’t know if it is still being done a 10 cent bounty for dead rats. I guess you were supposed to convince them to surrender and then beat them to death./s

They already have too many laws on the book but the one I found interesting in this case for Arizona. This is why the sheriff is rightfully lawyered up. He made previous threats and was advised to seek mental help.
13-3101. Definitions
7. “Prohibited possessor” means any person:
(a) Who has been found to constitute a danger to himself or to others or to be persistently or acutely disabled or gravely disabled pursuant to court order under section 36-540, and whose right to possess a firearm has not been restored pursuant to section 13-925.

OK, this was predictable. Shooter turns out to be a leftist. Lefties change mantra to "gun control".
FAIL.

Seems like the Sheriff is to blame here and was derelict in his duty by letting the lefty Psycho have a gun in the first place.

Rep Giffords was a staunch supporter of 2A. That point should be made again and again.

The Sherrif is responsible for failure. Like a good Dem he goes on the attack, instead of addressing the failure.
Question: Was he ever requested to provide security for Giffords public meetings? Is there a straight yes or no answer ?
What about it Dupnik???
