“...Don’t suppose anyone cares to ask if this is constitutional?!?!?!...”

Seeing that this is coming from someone that isn’t constitutionally eligible to hold the office of POTUS, it makes perfect sense. What difference does the Constitution make to the Kenyan usurper? It’s just another worthless piece of scrap paper to him. He owes no allegiance to it.

I see you hate America First!

Safety and security provided by government is what being FREE is all about.

Forget those kooks that talk about property rights, natural rights, God-given rights.

What good are rights if someone gets ahold of your Internet accounts?

Only a massive bureaucracy and massive government can ensure all risk is removed from life! That’s real freedom. Freedom from risk and uncertainty, like the risk that someone could do something bad somehow to or in the building you’re in, the city you’re in, the car you’re in, the plane you’re on, the boat you’re on, etc.

....and voila! You have a 3rd (government) party privy to all your private e-mails, on-line business, etc. Just what we ALL need. Right?

I think NOT!!

I know this is just about national security and keeping me safe, so I’m fine with that as my safety and security is the paramount thing in life! I, like most FReepers, know that what I want government to do when I think they’re keeping me safe or punishing those I don’t like will never be used against me.

You ARE naive - if you're not being sarcastic.

The attitude about the primacy of government-provided safety and security as well as the argument about “nothing to fear, nothing to hide” has been so prevalent over the last 10 years here, I’ve stopped trying to argue. I just mock.

I’ve noticed people espousing those sentiments and attitudes countless times. I’ve just thrown my hands up and come here to mock them.

No one listens when you tell them the biggest threat to their life, liberty, prosperity, and property is their own government. So why not mock, parody, and point and laugh when what you were warning them about seems to be happening on a daily basis?

What was that saying about the most enslaved slave is the one who believes he’s free?

That describes a lot of FReepers and other conservatives.

Mr. Wheeler knew that the property across from his house was a small commercially owned strip which wasn't large enough to 'legally' have a house and yard.

For those who are persuaded by this argument, our common law abhors restrictions on the free use of property, and any restrictions imposed by zoning, covenant, etc. are strictly construed to effect the intent of the restriction. If someone manages to wiggle out of a restriction, well, he has a right to the beneficial use of his property.

Of course, that view is anathema to conservatives to true conservatives anyway, who believe that others can tell you how to use your property.

PS nowhere did I suggest that Wheeler was a bad guy, or anything of the sort. I just noted that he had been involved in this property dispute. It is part of the story of his life and you are free to make of it what you will.

I for one love that Obama is eyeing this. I want to do everything in my power to support his effort to politically self destruct. I also look forward to seeing that 26% strongly support this idea in the next poll. I also look to forward to the follow up poll showing 26% strongly support Obama summarily executing law abiding citizens for pure sport and entertainment.

He may not be THE Beast, but he is doing a damn fine job of impersonating The Beast.

This comes at a time when the new IPv6 will be implemented. In case you were not aware, IPv4 will exhaust the current amount of IP addresses sometime in 2012.

The new system will allow for 3.4 x 10³⁸ total number of addresses, which will allow 5 x 10²⁸ or 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 addresses available for every individual person on the earth.

How convenient.

Sometimes I wonder where the media are with all this, as well, where are the comedians? Obama and the policies he pushes provide a target rich environment for both criticism and ridicule YET barely a whisper if that...

Anyway, if I was in control of the media I know there would be seen much more than we see now regarding the lack of clothing the community organizer (AKA mob boss) has...

I envision a reality show titled: "Socialist Eye for the Capitalist Guy" where we see each week Obama using the socialist model transform and or reform a business or local government entity into an abysmal failure... The show would highlight the absurd assumptions of his ideology, ridicule his efforts, and critique the results -ending each episode with lessons learned...

Gee, less space available for COMMERCE which Bambi despises. When he and Michele were in Chicago they had a little organization. Michele gave a speech once, "Shun the money culture."

Of course, they can celebrate the money culture but us peons must sacrifice all for "the state".

At this point, people who voted for Obama - I'm maxed out. I will not befriend anyone else who voted for him. It was beyond sheer stupidity of voters that an inexperienced playa from Chicago pulled this off thanks to them.
