WASHINGTON (AP) -- The new Congress just got to work, but House Republicans are already moving to try to block the Obama administration from taking action on global warming.

GOP lawmakers have introduced several bills that would hamstring the Environmental Protection Agency from moving forward with regulations to reduce heat-trapping pollution from factories and other sources. The bills are part of a plan by House Republicans to reverse what they consider job-killing policies of the administration.

The bills introduced by Rep. Ted Poe of Texas, Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Rep. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia would stymie the EPA in different ways.

Excellent.
They’ve gotten off to a good start.

They’ve read the constitution. They’ve notified Justice that they are looking into the Civil Rights. They introduced legislation to fire the commie czars. And now they are blocking Cap and Trade.

Absolutely! But we cannot rest. This administration will try the executive order. It will also try to rule through regulations in the various agencies like EPA and FCC. These cockroaches (RATS) need to have the lights on them all the time.

Gosh, what in-depth coverage (sarcasm off now)

I repeat my position that Tea Party Candidates need to get their message out via the alternative media by frequent and consistent press releases held on the steps of the Capitol... this is the only way the truth can get out.

“”Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer of California, who is...””

What? She can’t wait until it gets to the committee or the Senate? She has nothing else to worry about now?

Every fricking bit of this type of action (very much more needed, desperately) should be backed up by a PROMISE to refuse to increase the Debt Limit. Obama needs to be faced with an iminent financial Armageddon, not two-three years from now when he's re-elected. We'll see whether he's vehemently intent on destroying this country or moderately- intent-but-wants-to-get-reelected.

To my mind, I want to KNOW now, not later. If we have to duke it out, then so be it.

Yes, it is another great day.

Flood the zone. Overwhelm the statists. Make them defend unconstitutional agency regulations. Make them defend the loss of jobs and higher energy prices.

Make them defend their road to serfdom every day!

For the next two years, if you are ever watching the house on C-SPAN or just channel surfing by, stay awhile and gloat. The GOP has 242 votes and the rats only 193 so you know the crap bills will always be defeated and the good guy votes will ALWAYS total at least 218. Nancy, Steny and the rest of the rats, ENJOY. (snort..snicker)

Hamstring the E.P.A.?
How about hanging its leaders and dragging them by Toyota pickups through the streets?
Well it’s the way of other Moose limb countries.

“Defund the EPA!”

Yes, but don’t stop there. Next on the block the departments of Education and Energy.
