Discussed among friends in Central Texas concerning a prayer request.
Attempts to post to FreeRepublic failed, "server not found."
altfreerepublic doesn’t require the personal information that yahoo wanted.
IIRC, yahoo wanted your birthdate or some such personal information that could compromise your anonymity if someone hacked their database.
Anyone armed with your birthdate can cause problems with identity theft.

I’ve been gone all day and just got back on FR just before it came back up again.
And the post that bears my screen name was dated as being posted two days ago.
So, no, it doesn’t come across as a joke.
And honestly, I don’t recall much of any interaction with you. FR has thousands of people posting on it and unless I run into someone frequently or memorably, I don’t tend to recall the screen name of everyone I post to.
I’m not likely to forget yours anymore, however.
I’ve seen people get banned when posting of their from other anti-FR sites have been exposed. Pointing that out and pinging JR to it did not bear the hallmarks of being funny. It bore the hallmarks of a set up to try to get me banned.
I'm taking responsibility for that. But some of this other weird conspiracy stuff has me scratching my head.
