<And Goldsborough never thought to call 911?
I just saw her on the news and she seemed nice enough, and certainly observant, but I thought the same thing you did - you have a disoriented person in front of you, with no coat on and 1 shoe in his hand and you don’t take this person aside and call the police? Seems like a no brainer to me.
Do you have any idea what bizarro behavior the serf class in the DC metro area is exposed to on a daily basis from their masters? Taking an interest into what these elites who provide your wages is frowned upon. For all the attendant knew the guy was just at a Gary Condit party. Don’t Ask / Don’t Tell, philosophy applies to much more than being gay and in the army ya’ know.
The police in this area do not like to be bothered, and they will make you sorry you ever got involved. Anyone who’s been here for any length of time is conditioned not to get involved. It doesn’t solve anything, and it only causes the good Samaritan problems.
The only thing I can think of is maybe she sees a lot of people like this, maybe a lot of druggies, drunks etc in that area? I don’t know, I don’t live in a place like that, so I’m only speculating. I know it would be VERY out of place to me, but maybe not to her. If you lived where that was common place you might, after awhile, stop getting yourself involved.
