Cheney Back in Public, Thinner, With Heart Pump
*snip*
The LVAD is implanted next to the heart to help its main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, pump blood through the body. Such devices are used mainly for short periods, to buy potential transplant candidates time as they await a donor organ.
Cardiologists said that in Cheney's case, the pump is likely a "bridge" that will keep him alive until he can receive a heart transplant. Many cardiac experts said at the time of his surgery that Cheney may be only one step away from a transplant but could find himself on a wait list for "months or years."

BTW, I think that Cino is precisely what we DO NOT need, and I would politely suggest to Veep Cheney that we can do much better.
Dick Cheney doesn’t need a heart transplant. Dick Cheney causes other people to need heart transplants.
I recognize that look. It looks like he has cachexia (wasting). It’s a symptom of heart failure and other diseases.
Please just go away.
That's all the article said. I'm still waiting for someone to link to this seemingly mythical story about how Cheney supports Obamacare. I would be deeply disappointed if it were true, but how hard could something like that be to validate?
social graces, buddy... there is a time and a place for everything...
Hmmm, I still remember the horrible things people were saying about Obama the weekend his grandmother died.
“If it was this o-kenyan administration there on 9/11 there would have been hundreds of immediate attacks on 9/12, 9/13 and continuing, probably to this day.”
Right - but he’s (BHO) certainly made up for lost time, hasn’t he?
Back to Bush/Cheney - there’s only one question I’ve ever been able to ask that shuts up any liberal: “on 9/11, would you rather have had Al Gore/Joe Lieberman in the White House?” Silence, crickets chirping - despite their usual declarations ad nauseum about GW “stealing” the 2000 election.
Thanks for the ping. I feel sick all over..truly. It’s like being in the middle of a nightmare.
and that is bad form...
God Bless him, a patriot, and one of the last real men in government.
We needed him when he was there. Now, he needs our prayers. He gets mine without reservation. A man of great heart (absolutely no pun of any kind meant), dignity and soul. He took on a VERY difficult assignment, and did his job well.
God Bless you, Mr. Cheney! I, for one, will always thank you for your selfless contribution to the USA!
“Pelosi has not used hers in years. It should be good to go!”
Nah - hers is deficient. He deserves a really good one.
OK, since being nice doesn’t seem to work, can you please just go to hell? Please... just go. We’ll wait.
“Hmmm, I still remember the horrible things people were saying about Obama the weekend his grandmother died.”
Please. He didn’t exactly rush to her bedside, he took his time and made sure the media also had time to hype it. Then, he was only there for, what, one day??? Look into his family (all of it) and history - you’ll find there’s no loyalty there.
He is a gritty, steely-eyed, unflinching, true blue patriot warrior for America, land that he and we love, and he *knows* fully the evil that replaced Pres. Bush and him.
What a look - that says it all.
Hoping for the best. May G-d be with you Mr.VP.
