Dear Mr. xzxzxzxzx,
Thank you for contacting me with your concerns. I appreciate hearing from you.
While the 111th Congress has come to a close, I have heard from a great number of Arkansans on a wide variety of issues. Please know I have taken note of your specific comments and concerns, and I will keep them in mind as I continue to work across the aisle to find legislative solutions.
One of the specific concerns you mentioned in your letter relates to the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy currently in effect for U.S. military personnel. On many previous occasions, I have said that I would oppose repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell until I had heard from our servicemen and women regarding this policy. I have now carefully reviewed all of the findings, reports, and testimony from our armed forces on this matter and I accept the Pentagon's recommendations to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. I also accept the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs' commitment that this policy can be implemented in a manner that does not harm our military's readiness, recruitment, or retention. We have the strongest military in the world and we will continue to do so by ensuring our troops have the resources necessary to carry out their missions.
The 112th Congress must address a number of challenges facing our country today. Hearing from Arkansans such as yourself helps me make better decisions, and I encourage you to contact my office without hesitation.
It is a sincere honor and privilege to serve as your United States Senator, and I am eagerly anticipating the start of the new session of Congress to achieve still more for the people of Arkansas.
Sincerely,
Mark Pryor United States Senate
I got the exact same form letter and posted it on the Arkansas page several days ago.
Pryor is a party-line jerk who only comes home and plays conservative the months preceding election day. He plays a bit better game at the “Arkansas Values” BS than Blanche did the last couple of years, so stupid voters here are likely to get the wool pulled over their eyes yet again in 2012.
He is even worse than his daddy... and that’s saying something.
What about Arkansas values is allowing homos to openly flaunt their queerness int he armed forces?
What about Arkansas Values is Obama’s healthscare law?
And I am sure we can put together a much much much longer list - and we need to - and keep it updated with Pryor’s exploits to hand out going into the 2012 election cycle.
Just another rino
Hey ! He was pretty good when he pitched for the Chicago Cubs..
sorry.. I had too. lol
I got a fluff reply letter like this from my senator Sherrod Brown when I wrote him about the Healthcare bill. Something like “I am fully committed to improving the quality and access to Healthcare in the United States”..yea right
He’s a Dem
I don’t mean to insult your state. But it took the first 10 years of my life to figure out how to say it. And I still don’t feel like im saying it right even when I do. lol
He's a Dem ----BUT Arkansas Democrats are supposed to be more Republican than RINOs.
He is a Dem.
rino? Pryor is a Democrat....
Funny story-when Pryor first ran for the Senate, his opponent said “If it weren’t for his daddy, he’d be working at Taco Bell”!
So, I always refer to him as David Pryor (D-Taco Bell)!
pryor is a hick! hick!! hick!!!
bloo dogg?
Pryor -isn’t that the rising star that got the Honorable Roy S.Moore removed from his elected Office? Didn’t Pryor turn on a man many thought was his friend when political ambition came between the two? Isn’t that the way of the crab bucket —a better man forced out to make way for the lesser. The immorality of Mr.Pryor is a matter of record.I could not support ,nor follow him.
