Newsmaxs chief Washington correspondent Ronald Kessler says its not in Obamas DNA to move more to the center following big Republican gains in the midterm elections.
He also asserts that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has blinders on regarding the wishes of most Americans, calls the tea party movement the conscience of congressional Republicans, and doubts that Sarah Palin can win the White House in 2012.
Kessler is a New York Times best-selling author whose latest book is In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect. His next book, about the FBI, is due out in August.
In an interview with Newsmax.TV, Kessler was asked what Republicans priorities will be in the next session of Congress now that they have won the House.
Number one, theyre going to try to pass a bill to repeal the healthcare law, Kessler responds.
(snip) And Kessler said about Sarah Palin: Shes great to listen to, but I think when you actually talk to people in the conservative movement, theres hardly one leader who thinks she should be president.

Newsmax is a liberal rag!
Name anyone in 1999 that thought GWBush would be POTUS in 2000 (obviously besides those in his camp).
Sarah is able to draw crowds of thousands... By herself. Name another conservative/republican that has done that in 20 years.
The ground swell has GOP leadership freaked.
The people are angry, very angry... And that anger is never directed AT Sarah... But pleading with her to help solve the problems this country is facing. To **help** us solve the problems. Noone looks to her to solve the problems herself... Just be in the position to help steer this ship in the right direction.
Journalist’s picking the GOP nominee... so deja vu.
Secretly, a Palin candidacy would scare the living poop out of Liberalistan. She kept her light under a bushel for the sake of McCain but now has no such obligation.
Kessler - oh yeah he is a conservative. Another beltway fraud.
“Ask any Republican....” Oh yeah he asked so many that he could not name one. Just one. Eff him.
“calls the tea party movement the conscience of congressional Republicans”
I wouldn’t count on it. RINOs have neither principle nor conscience. There’s still many more primary challenges to undertake.
I suppose you didn't add that - uh ha
It must suck to be you - you have such bile attacks on anything Palin...better put some ice on it. It's a long way to 2012.
That’s not what you accused me of being the author of, Ace. It was the lovey dovey crap from the article you attributed to me. And the ‘I don’t see it’ is a quote from Kessler, not me that I appropriately put in parenthesis.
You quote Ron Kessler as an authority on, well, anything at all. This guy has a man-crush on Romney. What else do you expect him to say, Champ?
Kessler on Romney:
“People say that Mitt Romney lights up a room. But there are all kinds of ways to light up a room - fluorescent, neon, sunlight, strobe. Romney alternates between sparkle and a warm, steady glow. He is not in your face. He is low-key, self-assured, and self-contained.”
“First, he has sensational good looks. People magazine named him one of the 50 most beautiful people in America. Standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, Romney has jet-black hair, graying naturally at the temples. Women - who will play a critical role in this coming election - have a word for him: hot.”

Again, why should anyone listen to Kessler on anything? That guy has his lips sewn to the Mittens butt.
Excellent. Now, as long as moderates, independents and anyone who views Palin unfavorably doesn't vote in the general election she'll cruise to victory!
