He’s right. The movement should be based on a loathing of RINOs.

RINOs are the root cause of the problem in the Republic that causes people to vote for the likes of Obama.

Why can’t these GOP losers and chumps just keep their lips zipped. They only confirm our worst suspicions. Plus I never heard any Democrat moderate who lost this year complaining publicly about his own party

Thursday that a "credible conservative" movement that doesn't focus on "hatred" of President Obama is needed.

This guy and this statement optimizes what the GOP has become and is. The 'reach across the aisle', no backbone, conciliatory wimps. The stand for nothing, acquiescing, Marxist/liberal embracing memes. The GOP has become nothing but platitudes. Money and war have become its central planks otherwise there is no distinction between parties and other then finances even that distinction is slight. They stand for nothing, for us, as people. They are not conserving a damn thing!

Dabney was right:

“[Its] history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation.

What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward to perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt hath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It tends to risk nothing serious for the sake of truth.”

What does Mr. Inglis mean by “Optimistic conservativism”?

From Inglis’ views and opinions it doesn’t seem that distinct or separable from ordinary, run of the mill, liberalism.

There weren't a dimes worth difference between him and Spratt.

Except for the seemingly invulnerable Clyburn-our Tea Party voters swept the state but good and that means only proven CONSERVATIVE presidential hopefuls have a chance when they come here—and we ain't gonna fall again for another Huckabee shuck and jive—i.e.,drawing enough social conservatives voters to give the state to another RINO.

"We'll get through and we'll get back to optimistic conservatism," he said. "We just got to get through this unfortunate period."

What a liar and sore loser he is! He tells a bold face lie when he says there was no death panels.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, I say to him

And that's why you're out of a job, bub.

‘movement that doesn’t focus on “hatred” of President Obama’

The ONLY movement I wish to see see involving Barrack Obama is a couple of U-Hauls backing up to the White House and moving Barrack and Family back to Chicago.

I don’t hate Barrack just his weird ideas.

I'm elated this RINO will soon be a “former legislator”

I find it disgusting that RINOs never miss an opportunity to shoot their party in the foot as they leave office. You never see liberals do that.....their technique is to switch to Independent and caucus with the democrats when elected.

I wish RINOs would show as much contempt for liberals who are seeking to rule every facet of our lives and ram an unwanted socialist health care policy down our throats, as they do for “tea party” endorsed candidates. Their ire is misplaced and is likely the reason they are becoming “former legislators”.

Some reason we can’t have both? :)

Hey Bob, it's not about Obama hatred. If it were we wouldn't hate you as well. It's about policies coming from Washington that are eroding our freedoms. It is not our fault that Obama promotes those polices, just as you did and why you were voted out.

As for Obama being or not being this or that let me ask, How do you know? The man has not revealed anything about himself to verify what or who he really is. Face it Bob you are an idiot, not to mention a sore loser. Perhaps you will see what the real conservative movement is about when you have to actually start living under the policies you helped to institute. JERK.

I agree with this guy.....Obama’s NOT a socialist.
He’s a full fledged COMMUNIST!

Apparently this ex-congressman didn’t get the memo, but as of a few weeks ago, the death panels are back.

[The congressman said he was wounded in his campaign by not joining “in the real bitterness toward the president.”
“I don't call him a socialist because he's not,” he said. “I don't doubt that he was born in Hawaii because he was. I don't call him a Muslim because he says he's a Christian. And I didn't say anything about death panels because there weren't any in that health care bill.”]

This so thrown out pro liberal policy who called himself a republican is a liberal rino for sure and wrong on every count.
Obama is a socialist (socialism it the child of communism.)
Obama was probably born in Africa, Kenya may well be his true birthplace (the fact that the DC Congress never did investigate his background shouts collusion of the 2 party's therein).
Obama says he is a Christian and yet all his fondness and works are oriented toward Islamics and terrorist nations and peoples and the man hates the post Christian dying America and bows to dictators and Islamic kings.
The death panels have been slipped back into Obamacare and older democrats and rinos and republicans and the apathetic fools will be sent to early deaths by local political bureaucrats, a fact that is very true and yet the self declared wise of this foolish nation are blind to see it.
Anyway, good riddance to bad rinos and democrats. DC lives in delusion and the states need to destroy the central government they created as it is now a dictatorship or this country is dead, dead, dead, Fred.

To career politicians like Inglis, all is semantics’. This guy will never get it and that’s why we took it away from him.
