Shouts break the evening silence.
“Police! Search warrant!”
Officers burst through the door. A man appears across the room. Metal glints from his clasped hands. Shots echo from a police-issue Glock 22. Todd Blair slumps to the floor.
“Five seconds,” said Blair’s mother, Arlean. “In five seconds, he was dead.”
Officers entered Blair’s home Sept. 16 during a drug raid when he stepped into the hall, wielding a golf club, police video shows. Ogden police Sgt. Troy Burnett shot Blair, 45, in the head and chest.
The shooting was deemed legally justified.

We have officially entered a police state. It seems a shame that there aren’t enough police that will stand up and stop this excessive force...guess it is hard to resist this massive growth in their power to do whatever they want.
I just don’t understand why so many Americans don’t believe in the Constitution, what it means and that it is a contract...
Think I saw that on one of the Naked Gun movies as comedy. Not funny in real life. I no longer call them LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) as they have permanently voided that respect.
I call them REO (Revenue Enhancement Officers) cause they will do whatever they want to protect their government pensions and ride roughshod over us.

The answer isn't your pathetic attacks on the police, but rather, reworking the system to put clear parameters on police procedure, removing absurd laws from the books, and ensuring that the best qualified and ethical people hold the office. Your attacks on the police will only drive good people from the service.
Do you even realize that a large plurality of American Police Officers are prior service Military? These are people who have a heart to serve others, their communities, and their country. They aren't the gestapo. It's sad that you will praise them when they wear the Uniform of the Soldier, but degrade them when they put on a different uniform.

It's been a long time,but I once had a badge on my shirt and knew some police officers were arrogant jerks who felt themselves better than the "civilians" even then,and the unneeded proliferation of militaristic SWAT gear and raids has only made things worse.
No-knock and forced entry are wonderful cover for gang-bangers doing home invasions.
Tel you what:I wouldn't vote to convict anybody who shot any person violently forcing their way into a residence unless that person had clearly and loudly identified himself as a police officer and shown a legal warrant.
No-knock warrants are a pimple on the butt of American law.

We ARE a police state and you are a part of it. Police see us citizens as “them” and the cops as “us”. They no longer Serve and Protect, they order and kill our dogs, kids, wives, and husbands in a never-ending search for more and greater power over the citizens who they are supposed to be working for.

Actually,the Nazis sytematically replaced the old,traditional police officials and officers with Nazi Party functionaries and Nazi street thugs, in a process that took several years.Not unlike today ,where the emphasis has shifted from keeping the peace to enforcing the laws.There is a difference though many say it is only semantics.The attitude and the increased willingness to follow orders are the result of deliberate conditioning.
However, attacking the police will not fix the problem with an over-use of no-knocks. Indeed, it will only make the problem worse, and that is what the Marxists are banking on.

That ain't necessarily a plus. The military has a completely different mission that police, or they should. That line is blurred, and results in this sort of abuse.
My dad was a cop for 30 years. I know some of those cops. They wouldn't understand this brand of "law enforcement". They sure wouldn't understand you...
