The answer isn't your pathetic attacks on the police, but rather, reworking the system to put clear parameters on police procedure, removing absurd laws from the books, and ensuring that the best qualified and ethical people hold the office. Your attacks on the police will only drive good people from the service.
Do you even realize that a large plurality of American Police Officers are prior service Military? These are people who have a heart to serve others, their communities, and their country. They aren't the gestapo. It's sad that you will praise them when they wear the Uniform of the Soldier, but degrade them when they put on a different uniform.
We ARE a police state and you are a part of it. Police see us citizens as “them” and the cops as “us”. They no longer Serve and Protect, they order and kill our dogs, kids, wives, and husbands in a never-ending search for more and greater power over the citizens who they are supposed to be working for.

That ain't necessarily a plus. The military has a completely different mission that police, or they should. That line is blurred, and results in this sort of abuse.
My dad was a cop for 30 years. I know some of those cops. They wouldn't understand this brand of "law enforcement". They sure wouldn't understand you...
