Chris Matthews has fumbled his way right into the debate over President Obama's birth certificate.
The liberal MSNBC host -- while declaring the controversy over the President's birth certificate "nonsense" -- nonetheless asked on Monday night why Obama has not demanded the release of a copy of his full birth certificate.

It’s “nonsense” to them . . . don’t think about it maybe it will go away. But even they are curious as to the logic . . what’s he hiding? Why wouldn’t he just reveal it and be done with it?
Pure ratings 'ho' question (where was he born?). No mention of Natural Born.
This is going to be ginned up hard going into the election. The leftist media is looking for any diversion from Obummers lackluster performance. I think that the unintended consequences is that it will become a feeding frenzy on the left and force “The One” to finally come up with some real paper work. This should be fun to watch.
“Why wouldnt he just reveal it and be done with it?”
Because if he reveals it the question would be, “why how?” And then we would have to ask about the College transcripts.
And I would take it a step further. If liberals are so smart, how come they have to hide their records? I would think if you were brilliant as the media portrays you, you would be more than happy to provide your transcripts.
Or did they learn from Al Gore, who wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.
By the way, anyone see Kerry’s 180 yet?
We must get our terminology consistent.
Drop birth, birther, birth certificate etc., anything with birth in it. The media has successfully painted those who say that as wackos.
We must demand “RECORDS”, such as we knew what grades Bush and Kerry got in college, why not 0bama?
Be consistent, drop birth-anything.
Welcome to the Band of The Lonely Constitutionalists. If only we could get a judge to join.

you’re right. I’ve done that for awhile now with my lib friends.
I just say I couldn’t have gotten my boys into Little League with that lack of documentation.
If all the other presidents provided it - why not this one?
There is a great number of possibilities why he wouldn’t want to show it - some of them not necessarily making him ineligible.
I have no idea where he was born - but rules are rules.
Take the poll on this site. It presently shows 93% do not want to see the birth certificate.
You nailed it. My real concern about all of this has been letting other issues slide while the Right is pigeon holed into a fringe group.
These records from his college education are what is the smoking gun. They guard them so fervently and they coincide with all of his open radicalism. I would love to see what this guy was up to during those years.
One has to wonder if perhaps the liberal-left is upset with Obammy and Mathews’ call for the long form birth certificate is setting the stage to get someone else as the Dem nominee for 2012.

I agree and refer to the fact that BO is NOT constitutionally qualified to be POTUS regardless of where he was born.

EVERYONE go to the Daily News link and FREEP THE POLL!!!!
If the media could generate a full dossier on total unknown Joe “the plumber” Wurzelbacher in 24 hours, why couldn’t they find anything about Baraq?
Yikes it’s been anti-freeped. Well, it is a NY paper. You have to wonder how anyone could agree with this statement: “No, I know he was born here.”
