“”More than one-third of Republican National Committee members have declared their support for one of the six contenders seeking the chairmanship, and with just over two weeks to go the race remains wide open.

The big movers over the weekend: Former RNC co-chairman Ann Wagner, who picked up support from the West Virginia delegation, and former Bush administration official Maria Cino, who announced her first public endorsements. Those nods came from several highly-regarded voters who have served on the committee for years.

So far, at least 64 committee members have publicly said they back a candidate. We consider an endorsement either a comment in a publication or a release from a candidate’s campaign. Missing any names? Email us and let us know.

The Hotline’s latest RNC whip count:

REINCE PRIEBUS (22)...

MICHAEL STEELE (12)...

SAUL ANUZIS (11)...

ANN WAGNER (10)...

MARIA CINO (6)...

GENTRY COLLINS (3)...

UNDECLARED (104)””

IMO, this is where Sarah Palin could do allot of good for the advancement of Conservatism.

She should be the RNC Chair.

In fact I think she could do more here than she could right now at the President.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Reince Priebus sounds very promising. I definitely like his pro-life views and is against gay marriage. He says he wants to consult his family but who is that Mom and Dad? Wife? Children? Just want to get a bit more information on his so that we don’t end up with a DADT candidate. He does seem pretty conservative though.

There will be an RNC debate on Monday, January 3.

The RNC Chair election will be January 15. Contact your state RNC members and lobby for a conservative choice against Steele.

Can’t we find someone in the RNC named Bob?

Sarah would be great. She would rewrite the role of RNC chair.

Wisconsin GOP chair Reince Priebus

I kind of hope he doesn't win, because every time I see his name, I think it says Prince Reibus.

But it would behoove Republicans to treat him decently and honorably, and continue to allow him to have a place at the table.

Steele spent waaaay too much money, asking me for more money.

Those funds should have been spent supporting CONSERVATIVE candidates!

Probably not ~ this Reince Priebus is one of Haley Barbour Jr's goombahs, and he's a Wisconsin (read that as "American Motors") politician.

Just another bunch of Mitbots trying to move ALL the pro-life personalities off the stage at the Republican national Presidential nominating convention.

Why don't you guys go try to do that some other way where you can be successful ~ like gunfire ~ make the rest of us "official victims" so we can win the election without even needing to campaign.

BTW, no way you guys are taking over the party machinery so's you can get away with killing babies.

I have been getting calls from the RNC. When I answer, no one says anything. I really wanted to tell them to quit calling me because I am fed up with them. : (
