Oh, that's on the cards, for sure, and it will make Iraq look like a kindergarten where we learned the ABCs of how to occupy a country and put it back together.
They’re both in Chihuahua, but on opposite sides of the state.

We would be better off. Anyone in control is better than no one in control. You can negotiate with dictators (who understand very well that they are not immortal) but you can't negotiate with a million of bandits of various calibers. And bandits is exactly where Mexico is going.

I’ve been watching this story, too. I can’t seem to find any follow up in the US press. Time to check the Mexican press (if they’re not too scared to report on it!).

We should just declare war, and mean what we say, on the drug users here in the States.
Then there wouldn’t be any of these friggin cartels. That would take care of most of our problems. I can’t6 stand illegals but you need to recognize that most of the border problems are of our own doing. We are the ones attracting them here with full lunch boxes of taxpayer benefits and social programs.

The drug lords didn’t have to do that. They could have run circles around her and left her alone. Now there’s a ghost of a chance some real men down there will grow a spine over it.
Remember when illegal immigration and the money flowing south was supposed to be like a “pressure valve” to prevent this sort of violence from happening? All that money fed fuel to the flames and the cartel’s stooges coming into the country are embers spreading the fire.
