VIDEO: Daughter Says Newt Gingrich Is ‘Very Serious’ About Running For President
Human Events ^ | December 27, 2010 | Emily Miller

Jackie Gingrich Cushman said that her father Newt Gingrich is more intent that ever on running for President in 2012. Gingrich has said that he will announce his decision on running in February or March.

“He’s very serious. He’s much more serious than he ever has been. And I can tell that because we actually sat down -- just the two of us -- for two hours recently. And I don’t think that’s happened since I had children,” said Cushman.

Newt Gingrich wrote the forward to his daughter’s new book, The Essential American: 25 Documents and Speeches Every American Should Own, which highlights the great documents and speeches in our nation’s history

I asked Cushman what about the country today has made her father more serious than every before about running for President.

“I think he’s very concerned because when you get down to the core argument-- when you talk about taxes, when you talk about where we are -- the fundamental difference is that conservatives believe that God gave people rights and we loan them to the government. They believe, as Calvin Coolidge did, that it’s the people money, and the government is supposed to spend it as wisely as possible.

“If you look at the language of President Obama and his administration, they really believe that it’s the government's money. They really believe that they can solve all those problems from Washington. That is a huge, fundamental difference.

“As a country we have to come to grips with, it’s not just partisan politics. Iit’s not just an arguing about tax cuts. We have a fundamental disconnect about how this country should operate,” said Cushman of her father’s perspective.

Cushman, a syndicated columnist and the author, said that her father asked her if she wanted him to run. She told him that it was his decision to make. “It’s up to him. But of course I would support him. I’ve always helped him in his campaigns ever since I was six [years old], so it’s been a long, long time.”

“All of my life, he’s always done what he has thought was best for our country. And I think that he’ll take all of that into consideration. So we’ll see in February or March,” said Cushman.

I hear he’s very happy in Georgia. He should stay there.

Sad, but you can’t talk sense to an ego like that. I fear the Republican dog and pony show more than anything the Democraps can throw at us.

Goody, let the Romney/Huckster/Gingrinch triumverate split the anti-Sarah vote in each state primary. What could be better strategery for the good guys?

Not only Newt is a Nancy Pelosi Global Warming Hoax stooge...he is also pushing Illegal Alien Amnesty through his media company, Gingrich Communications. His company runs the Hispano-Centric, Pro-Illegal “The Americano”

www.theamericano.com

No way will I vote for someone who is pushing Illegal Alien Amnesty...directly and indirectly

From what we’ve been hearing, Jeb may be thinking about it too. I’m sure there are others considering it. Sadly, the Republicans will probably support one of them just as they supported the Murkowski witch in Alaska.

Already the republican heirarchy is engaged in stirring the pot and muddying the waters for the next election. They know the conservative flank is restless so the big boys'll try anything to make sure the slate is composed of those they figure they can suborn.

And the big boys will win out in the end. That's why this voting crapola is worthless. The Palin/Buchanan types won't make it because they are not blackmailed or owned by these elites. I make bet with my friends that a RINO is the nominee & I might parlay that to Big Ears winning, by fraud, etc, another term. How a conservative/taxpayer got rolled over the last 2 weeks is enough to solidify for the 488880 time that we conservatives are toxic to D.C.

I can think of no one more responsible for Newt's warped sense of self-importance than Sean Hannity.

Thanks Sean! ...You can keep him!
