When the CNN cameras started rolling, Rick Perry turned on his Texas tough-guy. In a dark suit and sharp red tie, the perpetually TV-ready governor launched his states' rights spiel, repeating to America why he's fed up with the federal government.

What have you done more than talk?
Perry is just fine with me, too. Those who still hold the vaccination and Corridor stuff against him haven’t done a lot of research on it. The media was just as liberal then as it is now, and they are the source of raking Rick over the coals for those two things. I was opposed to the corridor project because of cost, not because Texas couldn’t benefit from it. And I am 60 years old, and I had to take shots before I could enter school, so that is nothing new. I can respect those who opposed it,and when Perry saw that it wasn’t getting support,he dropped it. Far better than ramming it down our throat like the current federal administration has a habit of doing. Comparing Rick Perry to Romney is about like comparing Sarah to Barbara Boxer,IMHO...
Hey, jerk. I'm a citizen and a tax payer - not the Governor. Perry is the one standing in front of the TV cameras playing the tough guy. If he actually DOES something besides talk, for a change, then maybe I'll give him some props.
Until then, I'm still waiting for him to do something to stop the illegal incursions across our southern border. You do know that he can call up the militia to handle that anytime he likes, don't you?
The problem with Rick Perry, is, he's all hat and no cattle. He needs to put up, or shut up. Conservatives are sick of being stroked by this guy.
You’re a hypocrit who does nothing more than talk, yet criticizes others for doing nothing more than talk.
Yeah, I guess I should be out there stopping the EPA from imposing their jackbooted thug mandates on Texas industries - just like YOU'RE doing, right?
Or, maybe I should be down on the border turning around illegals coming over the border at the point of a gun - just like YOU'RE doing, right?
You don't even know who I am, or what I do in the real world, yet you sit there accusing me of doing nothing but running my mouth. That's worse than being a hypocrite. It's downright foolish.
It was your complaint, not mine. I merely exposed you as a hypocrit for holding others to a standard that you fail to live by yourself.
Yeah, anybody can make infinite complaints. Especially on the internet. Complete waste of time.
Uh, no they don't "hate" Rainbow Rick, that's because among other things he's a huge RiNO who is:
- a) light in the loafers,
- b) had affairs with two of his secretaries of state and then covered it all up in a huge, super-secret-squirrel political powwow in which the Austin newspaper's editors held the homosexual lobby's proxy (the gays were holding big rallies calling on Perry to out himself -- "we'll understand!!"),
- c) as lieutenant governor put through the very quiet beginning of Children's Protective Services' placement of orphans with homosexual couples,
- d) instantly fired, without recourse, the Christian conservative woman who went to the papers with the news about homosexual adoptions,
- e) did the Gardasil thing discussed above,
- f) provided political godfathering for the Trans-Texas Corridor (part of the SPP/NASCO Corridor megaproject to carry Chinese manufactures from Mexican Pacific ports to Wal-Mart loading docks without their ever once being touched by the hands of American workers or tax men),
- g) has been a stouthearted member of the RiNO OBL and a friend of wide-open borders for years until the People threw down the gauntlet and told him to pick it up (in an election year),
- h) authored a plan to impose tolls on public roads already amortized, as his idea of a substitute for a state income tax ("toll roads or slow roads or no roads"), and
- i) supports a plan to strip the Texas State Board of Education of much of its authority (because they're a bone in the throats of liberals and RiNO's like the Bush family), and give it instead to an unelected body dominated by NEA and AFT drones.
Is that RiNO-esque enough for you?
Sorry if I left anyone out of the ping who cares deeply about Gov. Goodhair.
Unbelievable. Rick Perry talks out of both sides of his mouth.
He’s done little to secure the TX border. He thinks AZ’s stance on illegals is not something he’d like to see in TX. The TRANS-TEXAS TOLLWAY should be enough RINO stink for any conservative to have already walked away.
Don’t trust him anymore. Don’t like him. He doesn’t listen to Texans. Throw him, Kay Bailey and Cornyn the heck outta here already.
How am I a hypocrite for not forcing the arrest of federal bureaucrats who are attempting to impose Big Brother's will on the industries of my state?
Tell me how I have the power to do that. I don't, and you know it -- but Rick Perry does.
I said that if Rick Perry actually DOES something besides play tough guy with the feds, then I'll listen. Until then, he's just playing to the cameras like he always does.
So, how 'bout you? Are you on your way to Texas to arrest the EPA jackboots for stomping on our 10th Amendment rights?
Or, are you on the border as we speak, turning illegals around at the point of gun?
What say you, Sheriff?
Take it from this native Texan; Rick Perry is an empty suit.
I read somewhere that he signed the Texas version of the DREAM Act into law.
Rick Perry is a Texas Tough Guy? That’s actually funny!
Gee. How did he ever find time to cut ribbons and such?
He’s been tainted by the Elitist Global Oligarchy.
Well you’d better put yo money on Luetinant governor then cause Perry’s runnin in 2012.
