We already told you how the weather could affect tonights game, with Philadelphia expecting about a foot of snow with winds gusting as much as 45 mph. But the NFL, most likely wanting to protect the tens of thousands of fans who have tickets for tonights game, has decided to move it back 48 hours.

They don’t want to get their pink sneakers ruined.
I survived the Ice Bowl !!!!!!!!!!!
20 degree low tonight and 45mph gusts is -2 windchill.
That’s what Nutter put out there.
I know, he doubled the highest estimate for dramatic effect. All the weather services are calling for about 7 or 8 inches. Nutter’s an idiot.
I worry the Iggs will not have enough time to prepare for the Cowboys now.
Impossible, don’t you know we now have global warming? (/sarcasm)
True, whover heard of a hockey game being cancelled or moved? My son is headed out the door to coach a Mite (8 and under) team. In my thirty years of coaching, less than three were postponed. And yes, we played at outdoor rinks. The only games in the NHL that I recall being cancelled were due to power failures, not weather.
So...what do you guys (who are blaming the players...etc...) want? You want them to play in the snow in an empty stadium? No stadium workers...no concession stand workers...no fans?
That's pretty stupid.
Which one are you?
Funny how so many are lambasting the NFL as being “metrosexual, pansies, wimps, etc.”, but still turn on the game every Sunday/Monday/etc....without fail.
You can love the game without loving the way those that administer it have it heading. See USA.
The game you reference in your post was played at the UofM
field in Minnesota, last week.
If Chicago loses today and the Eagles lose a first round bye anyway because of this idiocy, Nutter is finished.
I really don't think NFL players are opposed to playing in the snow. Matter of fact...I think the only people who don't like it are fantasy football owners :-)
I always love watching a good snow game...since I live in SE TX and only get to see snow on TV. But again...the mayor's decision is what canx this game...not the NFL.
Agree with the snowgames.
Problem for the NFL is that the mayor ordered everyone off of the roadways at 2PM today. Given the state of the highway system in the Philly area, it was probably a good decision.

I wasn’t calling the players, metrosexual, pansies, wimps, etc., but rather the mayors and people associated with running the show.
