NYC is actually pretty good about staying open and getting cleared—at least in Manhattan.

For the most part snow doesn’t get a chance to even stick in Manhattan. There is never a second when there isn’t people walking and vehicles moving.

Yesterday was the first day since the all snow started that I drove in and parked on the street. The amount of snow still present in Manhattan is staggering. I came in at the Lincoln Tunnel and drove to the Union Square area. Many cars are still plowed in and covered with whatever snow has fallen. All the streets are plowed, but people need to clear the berms that the plows have made throw some of the snow back into the streets so there are some places where the streets recovered with snow.
