The corridor from Salisbury, Md. to Philadelphia to New York City to Boston to Portland will be faced with roughly 18 hours of heavy, wind-whipped snow.
A nightmare is in store for holiday travelers. "People may have problems getting home from holiday ventures,"
Travel will become nearly impossible from Philadelphia northward as the all-out blizzard ensues late Sunday into early Monday morning. Those planning to travel on Interstate 95 during this time run the risk of becoming stranded for a time.

They are predicting a foot of snow here in the Norfolk, Virginia area.
That's a pretty good amount for this area. There's probably 7-8" out there now, still snowing and windy.
Pretty sight.

You are welcome, glad I could supply a chuckle or two.

Yesterday was the first day since the all snow started that I drove in and parked on the street. The amount of snow still present in Manhattan is staggering. I came in at the Lincoln Tunnel and drove to the Union Square area. Many cars are still plowed in and covered with whatever snow has fallen. All the streets are plowed, but people need to clear the berms that the plows have made throw some of the snow back into the streets so there are some places where the streets recovered with snow.

You know if Bloomy were the praying type, he’d be praying for rain by Wednesday. I’ve just been up around Midtown, where the snow gets cleared or melts pretty quickly. I’m sure the outer boroughs don’t need another inch—which we could likewise do without up here in CT!
