Here’s a stocking stuffer for the Canteeners and troops. This CBC reading of Frederick Forsythes’ Christmas story “The Shepherd” has become a tradition around my house. Hey, it’s Forsythe and it has jet fighters in it...how could I pass that up?

You’ll need RealPlayer to listen, but it’s a treat:

Howdy, BB! Biscuits made this morning and duly eaten!

Mr. LUV just prepared a most wonderful Christmas feast, and
we were wishing you were here with us. He grilled steaks,
sauted mushrooms, fixed fresh green beans, spicy pinto
beans, a beautiful salad with mixed spring greens, and
fruit salad to go with the cherry angel food cake that his
mom brought with her. We are all stuffed. Now gonna watch
“Holiday Inn” with Bing Crosby and Fred Astair....my tradition! :)

I would welcome a bowl of your yummy chili, too...later! :)
