Conservative Organizations Slam Law Center for Labeling Them 'Hate' Groups

Conservative groups and lawmakers are firing back at the Southern Poverty Law Center for releasing a new report labeling some mainstream conservative organizations as "hate groups" for their opposition to gay marriage.
In its latest report, the center added 18 "anti-gay groups" to its list of active hate organizations, including Concerned Women for America, the Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council and the National Organization for Marriage.
They join the center's list of more than 900 hate groups, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, skinheads, white nationalists, neo-Confederates, and black separatists like the New Black Panther Party and the Nation of Islam.
"Even as some well-known anti-gay groups like Focus on the Family moderate their views, a hard core of smaller groups, most of them religiously motivated, have continued to pump out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities," the report reads. "These groups' influence reaches far beyond what their size would suggest, because the 'facts' they disseminate about homosexuality are often amplified by certain politicians, other groups and even news organizations."

I’m surprised that the SPLC hasn’t tagged Free Republic yet to go on it’s list.
The SPLC is itself a hate group. Any group that aligns with La Raza (THE RACE), and other racist-based groups in the fight to give Illegal Aliens amnesty, is in itself a racist group.
According to the SPLC and the ACLU any person/group that opposes their klan operations is a hate group. Mark these groups as enemies of free people and don’t ever forget it.

Liberals are generally paranoid. They project their own faults on those who oppose them.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has been getting its money from left wing sources since its founding in 1971.
Many of its initial contributors were Communist front organizations.
It has no real interest in "civil rights". It's primary agenda is -- and always has been -- anti-American activity.
They have mastered direct mail very well. In fact, some think SPLC was invented as a mere vehicle to extract money from naive liberals who fall for direct mail solicitations. I dont know, but I have read an account to that effect.
Whatshisname the founder (Dees?) makes a large amount of money and lives in on some kind of estate. I dont have a problem with living well, but I have a huge one with this group’s MO.

Years ago, I had a highly classified job. The group of us got regular visits from the FBI and, on occasion, the NSA (as codes were involved.) I remember a presentation we got once, where the FBI showed us groups that were being funded by the KGB. It was a long, long list of liberal activists including those on university campuses, gay groups, make-pot-legal groups, decriminalize porn and prostitution, local communist individuals and groups, including the Hawaiian Communist Party. (I remember that one in particular, because at the time, I always thought of Hawaii as non-political; probably because I thought it was paradise with a navy base.)
The KGB had also funded liberal politicians. In one column was the group or individual’s name. In the next was their agenda reduced to a few words, “promote gay rights; destabilize family” in the last column were dollar amounts. Some were as little as a thousand dollars. Some were as high as $20,000. (This was in the eighties and that was a lot of money.)
The KGB’s objective was to break down American society. I don’t recall the Southern Poverty Law center, but I do recall the ACLU was on the list. (I recall being shocked as I thought they were protecting the little-guy’s Constitutional rights.) I think the ALCU got one of the higher denominations. Some tiny campus groups got as little as $1,000.
I don’t recall the FBI agent saying, but my impression was if you had a campus group and you got in the news for a protest, you got an anonymous check in the mail.
I would say they are succeeding well at their objective....

The democrat party is a hate group. Its affiliates are the KKK (which is a terrorist arm of the democrat) ACLU its legal arm, SPLC, KOS a media outlet, You get the idea, The democrat will not be celebrating the birth of our Redeemer tomorrow, it’s just a union negotiated paid day off. They are ashamed to say Merry Christmas.
I concur with your comment. I worked in a highly classified area when I was in the military in the late ‘60s. We routinely intercepted communiques from the Soviets and other communist governments concerning their funding of anti-war organizations and other leftwing groups. I have no reason to doubt it is still going on today.
A lot of those groups are still around. And their objectives haven't changed one iota.
I really think we could use another incarnation of the House Unamerican Activities Committee.
Even if there were no prosecutions, we'd learn a lot...
These Cockroaches are the ones who got a ranch taken for some scum criminals that were sneaking across our border, these people need to GO as they do more harm than good and I wonder just how much taxpayer money these weasels get?

LEOs today get SPLC briefings and the LEA FUSION Centers get info directly from SLPC. This is not something that can be ignored. Potok and Dees are dangerous people, and SLPC is a hate org all to itself.
Not only might they have been originally funded by the KGB and are now largely funded by left-wing organizations and foundation, for the most part their largest single source of funds is the federal government!
For further detail, see ACORN. Moreover, environmental groups have been given grants by the EPA -- in order to fund lawsuits against the EPA and force them into more stringent regulation.
In 1994, Newt talked about de-funding the left. He never got it done. The House can single-handedly accomplish this goal. And now is the time to actually start doing it.
