The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled a schedule Thursday for setting greenhouse gas standards for power plants and oil refineries. While EPA is pledging a common-sense approach, the move is likely to escalate a battle between the Obama administration and Republicans, who argue climate regulations will hurt the economy. Members of the GOP are pledging to block the rules on Capitol Hill next year. (Snip) The agency plans to propose so-called performance standards for oil- and coal-fired power plants in July of 2011, and for refineries in December of 2011. The agency plans to finalize the power plant rules in

Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
All part of the communists destroying America. The next two years we will see almost total defeat and riots.
Defund the
“Epa”
‘More like .. rebellion.’
That’s exactly what they want, so they can attack the rebellious.
Perhaps they should investigate the methods EPA developed the GW findings? They wouldn’t allow any skeptics to testify.
Time to run these nazis out of town.
Merry Christmas
queue the laugh track
Smells like a second civil war. I never swore any sort of an oath or pledge of allegiance to the ****ing EPA.
“Hmmmm, smells like.... inflation “
Smells like fascism, too.
One of the primary tools of every totalitarian dictatorship is an unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy writing law.
Under our system of constitutional government, only the legislature may write law. The legislature may no more give law-making power to unelected bureaucrats than king obuma can give his war-making power to Bill Ayers.
The EPA is operating completely out of the bounds of our constitution. The EPA must be ripped out by the roots and destroyed. That’s enough of this Hitler Germany crap.
Thanks, Tricky Dick, you slimey Rockefeller socialist.
The losers who run the Republican party will probably reward the EPA with an increased appropriation for ruining our country.
Defund, defund, defund!
-I think they think they will get away with total control without any problems. -
They think that if they make enough people mad, they can create riots the will give them permission to do much more than they already have.
DEFUND DE FEDS.
It is called “Job security”.
I agree with that. The House should zero all funding for the EPA in the next budget.
Court decisions also carry the force of law and the SCOTUS decision of 2007 ruled that CO2 was a pollutant, which means EPA must regulate CO2.
So, as for CO2 emissions from mobile sources aka tailpipes, EPA doesn't have to get involved because the issue of tailpipe emissions was resolved by raising CAFE standards, and that meets EPA standards.
So, what you have left are CO2 emissions from stationary sources. Let me ask you, if CO2 emissions from mobile sources are worthy of regulation, would CO2 emissions from stationary sources be just as worthy?
No offense FRiend, but have you just now come out of your conservative cave? Every freakin' agency of the federal government is given the power to create their own 'rules and regulations.' This has been happening for DECADES! Congress gave away their ability to handle the details eons ago.
Those rules and regulations carry the full weight of the law, because that is the way the legislation was written. They never ever needed Cap and Trade. They can do it all under the agenda of the President. And you nor I, or anyone else is going to stop them or can stop them.
EPA regulations could make it difficult for Americans to stay warm this winter Ignore the title of this article and GO READ THE DARN THING! READ IT...THINGS ARE CHANGING JAN.2ND, not those made up dates in this article or the one posted earlier today!!!
Congress didn't have to do a damn thing except distract you from their real agenda. The agenda that is already in motion.
