As I understand it, generally, Miller is arguing that rules are rules and should be applied evenly from election to election. They should not be changed by officials or judges to suit the preferred candidate.

In the PRNJ, after Torricelli’s past came out to bite him, the enemy party either dropped him or he withdrew after the deadline for naming a replacement(who remembers?) The putzes in black robes on the NJSC who have been interpretively legislating for the past several decades decided that the people needed to have a viable enemy candidate, despite clearly written law that, had it been enforced, would have kept Lautenberg in retirement. Thus, against a very weak Republican candidate and much machine chicanery, the Tporricelli-Lautenberg swap was allowed to stand and NJ voters subsequently gave another left wing enemy to the nation.(Again)

This has been the worst week of my conservative life.

I salute you for being optimistic about the future.

McCain has been fighting against pork for almost his entire career. His opponent on the other hand made a video on how to get free money from the government.

In addition, the Tea Party in a couple of instances, put forth candidates who were incapable of keeping their mouths sufficiently shut so as to get themselves elected. Examples include Angle and the loon from Delaware O’Donnell

You are speaking heresy. That is a punishable offense

How does Murkowski vote on these issues when she doesn’t join the Senate till January?

Huh? Have you ever read the Constitution? Even as far as Art. I, Sec. 3? Murky remained a Senator throughout the entire 111th Congress.

Miller might have made it to the 112th Congress, if he had not been so smug and lazy. Now the MurCow will be in place on Jan 5th in the 112th until 2016. Miller worked overtime to lose, and he succeeded.

Sorry to hear this. At least we can’t accuse him of giving up too quickly!

He's no Norm Coleman, that's for sure.

She is the incumbent and her term is not interrupted. She would be voting now, even if Miller had won the election.
