So now can I have some?
I drank so much Diet Rite Cola back then that I should be loaded with cancer...according to the thinking back then.
I’m fine, except that I had to switch to sugared cola and you know what happened.

Heartbreaking to see the denigration of American science as our scientists became leftist ‘Grima Wormtongues’.

Get rid of the EPA, states and local government can handle their own environmental policies.

Another left-wing junk science crisis meets reality.
Globull warming (settled science) junk.
Liberals demanded that we use plastic grocery bags because paper grocery bags were wasting too many trees. Now plastic bags are evil.
Liberals run around screaming about crisis after imagined crisis and then set themselves up as the moral arbiter of the needed remedy. In this manner they can FEEL good about themselves and marginalize all others who do not submit to their game.

EPA proposed the removal of saccharin and its salts from the lists on April 22, 2010 and did not receive any comments opposing the proposal. Note that comments would have delayed this. It's good that even the Lefties realized this was the right thing to do.
Comment periods are underutilized by conservatives, IMO. Many comments on FR never make it into the EPA comment periods (i.e., nobody sends them in), and then all that's left is the whining when things go through unopposed.

Seems to me, if they were WRONG, then they should PAY DEARLY for that mistake. Monsanto should suit for damages.

Did you notice that it took the EPA over a decade to remove saccharine from the naughty-naughty list, over a decade AFTER the high priests of social science (foreign cabals of scientists) had decided that saccharine was not a carcinogen at all?

Those pink packets of SWEET N LOW contain "saccharin". In fact, I'll wager many more products are made with saccharin then we are aware of.

I’m glad, but I heard its use is being reviewed by Janet Napolitano as a likely threat to national security. Door-to-door home inspections are expected to start after the holidays, if not before. /s

This fraud was planned and commited by liberals posing as scientists.
It was the first of many frauds by those in power, which enabled companies in bed with the so called safe alternatives to reap the new wealth.
Now, we have the fraud of Gorebull Warming ripping the economies of many of our states and country based again on fraud not scientific data.

Saccharin is also a really good nickel brightener. If you did nickel plating, you would know that.

“The earliest version and test run of the New Age Fascism?”
I think that it was.
Pharmaceutical and other health care companies had to spend billions on liberal thugs like Ted Kennedy and others to prevent poor science from removing their products.
We knew diabetics who had to scurry around and buy up the saccharin before it disappeared.
