I was at forgive the expression a Christmas party, NPR reporter Nina Totenberg interjected on Inside Washington in the weekends oddest cautionary separation from a common description for a common event, seemingly embarrassed to invoke any religious terminology for Christmas. She didnt say what shed prefer for parties this time of the year to be named. Winter solstice party? Just plain old holiday party? Or a seasonal gathering?

Well really, Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday.
But no matter. They will all be judged according to their salvation as the Bible clearly spells out. All the “good” intentions in the Universe will not save them if they denounce our true savior and the “Lamb of God” in their every day lives. Tolerating a few Christian symbols or traditions will not do it for them.
I pointed out how sweet your comment was ... read into that what you will.
Get out of MY HEAD!
I love him, too.
He’s everybody’s favorite Jewish Uncle.
Everybody, that is, with a moral compass and a sense of humor.

Go to hell, Nina.
Hey, perhaps that will be the first thing she hears after her death.
Nothing sends these uber-leftists like Totenberg up the wall like white, heterosexual Christians who will express their faith in public.
They will tolerate Mohammedans who force burkas on their women, pedophiles, and totalitarians of every stipe.
But an open celebration of Christmas sends them up the wall.
Merry Christmas, Nina, you nitwit.
stipe = stripe.
Thanks - Jackie Mason is great!
Today, you could probably put it to better use than I have....
I’m sure she would apologize for attending a Ramadan party too.
Right?
I keep getting Nina Totenberg confused with that other Nina - Burleigh? - who said she wanted to do a Lewinsky on Clinton (and presumably every male member of congress) because he supported a woman’s “right” to partial birth abortion.
Oh well - - peas in a pod, I guess.
I watched a portion on the “National Christmas Tree Lighting” on the local PBS station yesterday. I noticed that while it WAS referred to as such, the season was “this holiday season” and by all indications, the tree was the only thing that was referred to by the Christmas label. I didn’t watch all of it, it rapidly became apparent that there was little reason for the season there!
When I read this, I felt a flash of anger, but this is one of those things we really must be WWJD about. As in ancient Rome, Soviet Russia, and Nazi Germany, it is necessary for the elites to sneer at Christianity.
If George Soros is a James Bond villain, Nina Totenberg is an Ayn Rand villain.
Was that considered a non typical with the drop tine?
OK...but this is a new trend...no one woulda dreamed of this sort of public scorn of Christianity prior to the late 80s-early 90s
I seem to remember that they scored him as typical in the local big buck contest, but I can’t remember positively.
I wonder what Nina would think if one of her colleagues said, “I was at forgive the expression a Hanuka party,
Nina is a longtime personal friend of Ruth Bader (Buzzi) Ginsburg, leftist Supreme Court justice, who presided at her second marriage in 2000.
When Totenberg worked as a writer for the National Observer she charged she was a victim of sexual harrassment by an unnamed boss "who made passes at her repeatedly".
She was eventually fired from the magazine for plagiarism.
Repeated charges during her journalism career have included liberal bias, using material without proper attribution, lack of objectivity plus distorting conservatives' quotes by leaving parts out, a tactic also attributed to the liberal New York Times reporter, Maureen Dowd.
When Juan Williams was fired from NPR, he bitterly, openly and correctly charged the taxpayer-funded station with overlooking Totenberg's repeated transgressions in broadcasting journalism while firing him for essentially a minor ditto.
We pay part of the arrogant, leftist, elitist Totenberg's salary.....thanks to NPR funding bills supported by Democrat and RINO congresscreatures alike......who always take care of their own first.....and the taxpayers last.
