The Senate Saturday repealed the military's ban on gays serving openly in the military, by overturning the policy known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
Senators voted 63-33 to advance the bill to the floor, passing a 60-vote procedural hurdle. Final passage Saturday afternoon was 65-31.

Disgusting.
Years ago, when I was younger and argueably more foolish than now, I loved a lady. We had a young daughter and had started another child. I was looking forward with happy anticipation to that second child but my lady was not. Instead, she saw that child as an embarassment to be avoided so she chose to abort it. Of course, I had no say in the matter the father never does so I sat at home with our daughter, watching the clock and waiting.
Since then, I have learned of a man and a woman whose son was condemned to death for a terrible murder. They too sat home, watching the clock and dying inside. I think I know how they must have felt.
Today I sat at my computer, watching the vote in the Senate with much the same feeling of dread and overwhelming sadness at the impending doom of our country.
Oh, I know that the end of DADT wont kill America but with the Healthcare monstrosity, which will never be repealed, only modified, plus all the lesser bills, rules and regulations already in the pipeline to fundamentaly change America, the greatest country in the history of the world will, within a generation, be reduced to third-world status alongside such luminaries as Kenya, Bangladesh and Haiti. By that point we may be reduced to asking for aid from the likes of France and Italy.
I think Ive lived too long.

Thanks to the Democraps, Obama and the Obama Health Care Act you dont have to worry about that much longer.
Basically the military considers all recruits as gays who need to become real soldiers and men, but this means this policy is done.
I know some gay but manned up soldiers who are mad as hell their new peers will have to be “respected”, treating them as if they had to play the begging dogs.
The liberal power fantasy goes on to its destruction.
Being ex military I don’t think this is the catastrophe many would believe except in a political way (it’s a loss for our side and yes the American people). Soldiers have their own way of handling these things and those of you who served well know what I mean.
Sadly, many younger people have been conditioned for the last 30 years for this transformation. Many really don’t comprehend what it means to have economic liberty and other freedoms. They fear their government and are more than happy to conform. This road only leads to tyranny. I hope to be dead when America dies with a whimper.
I call B$, on that.
Today is the second time I have felt the same way as you are now. Health care was the first. I sit here and watch the Nation spin down the hole thru debts that will never be paid, a marxist take over of the Govt. and now sanctioning homosexuality. I joined with thousands of Americans last November to protest and remove from power these people only to be stabbed in the back by my own party. I to am just sick.
Well, this gives the Taliban and Al Qaeda something else to be pissed off at us about. If I were still in the military, I’d make sure that they’d never capture me alive.
Why do the Republicans always let the dimwits control the dialogue?
If I was soldier, I could live with the knowledge someone was gay. I don’t care if they’re doing it, as long as they don’t make it MY business. Live and let live.
When they reveal the vote tally we need to keep a record so we know who to hold accountable when the gay lobby lawsuits start flying because someone was reprimanded for having sex in the shower or showing up in drag at the Px while off duty.
If I was soldier, I could live with the knowledge someone was gay. I don’t care if they’re doing it, as long as they don’t make it MY business. Live and let live.
When they take prisoners they dont seem to keep them long. Just long enough to make a video.
They are savages and barbarians (not really worthy even of that name).
