It’s my libertarian friends with whom I’ve had these rather ugly discussions. Very tough to overcome their mindset. The argument goes- “gays have exactly the same rights as you or I and it’s unconstitutional to deny them”
Then I say- but what about the moral strength and character of a nation?
They say- you sound like the Taliban.
I say- are you out of your freakin mind?
They all have the same talking points, don’t they? It’s bizarre.
They are correct, homosexuals ALREADY have exactly the same rights as we do.
They are asking for rights - specifically the right to marry someone of the same sex - that we DON’T have. NOBODY has that right and for good reason.
Those rights undermine our family structure, which undermines our entire society, not to mention God’s plan for all of us.
I’m sorry your friends are idiots and are treating you poorly.
They already do. They can serve in any capacity where their chosen characteristics do not disqualify them. They can marry any person of the opposite sex that will have them. What more do they want?
I've got a brother trapped in faggotry. We have this discussion from time to time. He calls and tries to justify his sin. I tell him what the bible says about it. He says the bible is just made up. I come back with the medical evidence against faggotry, as well as the history of how it was delisted in the first place. Eventually he gets tired of beating his head against the truth, call same an unprintable name and hangs up. I usually don't hear from him for months after that. While I do love him as my brother I also count it a pretty goo dinvestment of my time. He's such a pissy sort of person that getting rid of him for a few months is a good thing.
How are homosexuals being denied their rights under the Constitution?
