Lakin Sentenced
1545: Sentence announced. Dismissal, confinement for 6 months, total forfeitures.
There is one small problem with this line of thinking....
He couldn't resign due to stop loss measures the Army had in place to prevent such resignations of critical field specialties like Surgeons....
So far, Obama has not had to answer to anyone in his career. January will be interesting when he has a typical white man acting stupidly and telling him he can go suck eggs. Then the supreme court, Run by a typical white man acting stupidly may tell him his Health care legislation is Garbage. Hopefully he wont take it out on all the typical white men acting stupidly who live in America.
Will I accept him as my president? No.
Will he be the President? It would appear so under the law.
As I’ve previously outlined, ordinary American citizens had standing to challenge Obama’s eligibility before his name was certifed to be on the ballot. That we didn’t do so is not the fault of the judiciary.
>> There is no symmetry there.
Worse than you described. The media promoted false, damning documents about Bush’s past.
“Courage... courage...”
That's a very good point, P-M, regarding any orders he received after Obama assumed the presidency.
And I agree that he got lousy legal advice.
And then there's the whole issue of standing that wasn't decided in his case. He has to show that he has, in reality, been injured by an unproven assertion, ie, a suspicion that Obama is not a legitimate president. Do I have that correct?
A real American and natural born president would be **HONORED** to promptly prove with the best evidence that they were a natural born citizen and eligible to be Commander in Chief.
It is a simple and straight forward matter to prove one’s natural born citizenship.
Of course the traitorous Obots will counter with, “Other presidents haven't shown their birth certificate.” Answer: The natural born status of other presidents has been utterly and completely **self-evident**, except in one instance. Chester Arthur was elevated from vice-president to the position of president because of the death of the elected president. He only served part of one term. ( He was probably smart enough not to push his luck running for a second term. I expect as much from Obama.)
1) audacity
2) politicians, courts, law enforcement, a media, and a military that will do nothing about it.
Maybe, but he could have offered his resignation. That would at least have given him cover for his position and probably have saved his bacon.
That was tried and failed even before he was nominated.
Yes, I agree that the submission of his resignation, with the reason for resignation as part of the submission, would have been turned down, but I also agree with P-M that it would have established him as serving under protest for a form of conscientious reason.
There have been other politically based conscientious objection cases, but I’ve not heard of one that ever was approved. Generally, the approved CO cases have to do with the ethics of war or with a religious background (or new faith) of pacifism.
Still, it would have been part of the record.
Placemark.
Not quite; if Obama is ever found ineligible, DESPITE WHAT JUDGE LIND SAID, the orders would be invalid and therefore illegal.
Just because you plead guilty to some crime, like assassinating the president, doesn’t mean that you ARE guilty — for example, what if I were to claim that I killed Pr Lincoln? I might be regarded as crazy* but, being less than 30, there is no way I could be GUILTY of it.
*I might even be guilty of perjury.
Which case was that?
Which case was that?
>> Be prepared to take some heat, soldier.
>> FWIW, Ive got your back.
Are you prepared to support his family while he is in prison, or offer him a job (he will likely not be able to start private practice as a doctor, since in most states a dishonorable discharge is equivalent to a felony)?
If none of the above, talk on a message board is cheap.
A bunch of people will wax sympathetic on blogs and that will be all.
It certainly will.
LTC Lakin and his family are in my prayers every night.
I would be more than happy to offer xzins a job. I couldn't pay him, but I could put him to work.
I think he was expressing solidarity with the poster rather than sympathy for the LTC...
Amen!
