'A lighthouse has becomes an ice sculpture near Cleveland, Ohio, covered in frozen spray from Lake Erie.
Unusually cold weather has pounded the eastern half of the US, pushing temperatures well below normal from the Great Lakes to Florida's citrus groves.'

Lighthouse transformed into a fairy castle after being encased in sparkling ice

After seeing this, how can there be any doubt that the earth will soon become a burning ball of fire?
When I first read the headlines I was thinkin beer signs and a juke box and some pool tables.
Exactly! See, it’s cold because it’s been so hot! The science was in the movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ and that had the world freezing because of global warming! See??
Too bad congress & the president could not have been frozen inside!
Good one! Made me laugh.
Impossible dream. Too much hot air for a deep freeze to occur.
I hope Algore is in there.
Oh no, it’s Global Warming! We’ve over-corrected, quick everyone burn something, get in your cars and drive, anything to save the planet.
That is cool! Looks like a piece of candy or cake decoration.
... and as it now appears ...
This is an un-manned automated station that is being disposed of by the US Coast Guard. This sale might be currently "On Ice" [grin].
Like a scene from “Dr. Zhivago”
The live footage is kind of interesting:

someone needs to tell the Brits that it’s not exactly news when things ice over in Cleveland this time of year
Are we sure that photo is the frozen lighthouse?
Looks like it could also be a text sent by Brett Favre
We have had a good five or six weeks straight of temperatures at least ten or more degrees “below average”, more frequently than not.
I think it must be a record, in terms of the duration and consistency of an early “below average” cold spell for this time of year, in NY/NJ.
Personally, I’m glad I have “annualized” utility bills, for which I pay the same rate every month for my total gas & electric charges, regardless of actual usage; which is then adjusted once a year based on the last year’s actual usage, and the most recently approved rates.
It can mean a final additional charge, or a final credit, on the annual anniversary of the plan, if total usage one year is very different than the prior year; but at least, month to month, I know the bill will be the same.
