Former President Jimmy Carter tells Big Think that even as the fight over Dont Ask, Dont Tell continues, he believes Americans are ready for their first gay president...Carter says the response to the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have done a lot to melt the resistance to non-straight-white-guys in the White House:
Step-by-step, we have realized that this issue of homosexuality has the same adverse and progressive elements as when we dealt with the race issue 50 years ago, or 40 years ago. So I would say that the country is getting acclimated to a president who might be female, who might, obviously, now, be Black, and who might be as well a gay person.
Carter has been criticized by gay rights groups for failing to do more while he was in the White House, and even giving gay rights merely a paragraph in his most recent memoir, where he mentioned the gay rights business.

ROFLMTO Remember Larry Sinclair? Whatever happened to him?
ROFLMTO Remember Larry Sinclair? Whatever happened to him?
His name was James Buchannan, our only "bachelor" POTUS.
He was never married, never seen with a woman companion and kept company with younger men. His lifetime companion in Washington DC was William Rufus King, Senator from Alabama, who he lived with for many years until King died in 1853, at which time Buchannan wrote this to Mrs. Roosevelt about his social life:
am now "solitary and alone," having no companion in the house with me. I have gone a wooing to several gentlemen, but have not succeeded with any one of them. I feel that it is not good for man to be alone; and should not be astonished to find myself married to some old maid who can nurse me when I am sick, provide good dinners for me when I am well, and not expect from me any very ardent or romantic affection."
So Mr. Carter, once again you prove that you are not only the second worst POTUS in history, but you also don't know history.
You know Godwin’s Law, that says that any discussion, if it goes on long enough, will eventually get around to some reference to Hitler and and Nazi’s? I think we’re to the point where we can postulate a simular law about discussions and homosexuality.
Handsome bunny.
“How is it we manage to elect an idiot Carter, a rapist Clinton and a Marxist pervert Obama? Something is desperately sick about the electorate.”
Or, you could conclude there’s something deeply wrong with liberals aspiring to be President.
Last decent one was Truman. He knew that any dirt a President brought with them to the office remained to taint the next President.
We already know her name.......Moochelle, she has really nice arms.
I think he may have been lying when he said in the Playboy interview that he had looked at a woman with lust in his heart.
A masterpiece of concise sum-up.
Jimmy Carter: America Is Ready For A Gay President
So that’s why he lost in 1980.
you are damn right.

Seems that way to me, too.
Well, JC apparently is seriously trying to hold on to the ‘Worst President ever’ title.
Watch for OB to come out with yet another ludicrous statement, so he can maintain his slim lead.
What Godwin’s Law leaves out is that sometimes it is entirely appropriate to compare someone’s ideology or policy preferences as fascistic.
This discussion of homosexuality, however, is in an entirely different realm. The left and their ideological “father” know that homos are a very useful weapon in their battle to destroy all that is good in the world.
Jimmy’s finally right about something! We’ve got one right now!
Jimmy Carter: The twit that keeps on blithering
Right, the ‘experiment’ of electing a black president having been such a success and all ... by all means let’s continue experimenting.
Good post. I know many Blacks and to the first and last one, they resent this disgusting comparison to sexual perverts, and rightly so. The queers will use anyone, any group, and any method to justify their perverted behavior.
