Bill OReilly recently talked with frequent Fox News guest Charles Krauthammer to handicap potential GOP candidates chances in the 2012 presidential election. Krauthammer called Mitt Romney the front-runner and said Mike Huckabee has established himself as a major player but his most dissected comments will probably be his remarks on one Sarah Palin.
Krauthammer compared Palins problem to Hillary Clintons in the late 1990s strong support from her core base, virulent opposition from most others. OReilly asked if the level of opposition to Palin is the medias fault, and while Krauthammer said theyve contributed enormously and that the animus to her is unprecedented, he also allowed that she is not practiced in policy and that the infamous Katie Couric interview was not a gotcha interview. According to Krauthammer, Palins growth in mastering policy issues will shape her fate:
I think if you want to expand your base, you have to get into policy even though it sounds dull.

This is true. Where does everyone else stand? Who cares - just as long as they've attended Ivy league schools, Law schools, or Daddy or AA set them up with the "right" people.
The bar does get set awfully high, and the goalposts pushed further ahead for Palin.
Palin - the one-time-Serf - galls the Elites with her pedestrian pedigree and education, and her non-law school credentials. Why are common sense and virtue so undervalued as criteria for leadership these days?
I researched your page & failed to find anything noting Sarah’s endorsement of John McCain.......
Tah Dah!
Unintended consequences.
Forget who you want.
Kraut has the perfect candidate for y'all. It's Huckaboob. He's "a player." He's Kraut approved...to be the stalking horse.
Com'on man. You know you want the Hucksters.
Where does everyone else stand?
In a urinal.
You Betcha!
LOL. I thought it was pretty funny to hear the grand Charles, who has a wonderful vocabulary, almost repeat word for word what he said about her over a year ago...lol.
I mean it seriously, Charles needs to get out of the Beltway -— maybe spend a little time in Wasilla...LOL. At least go on the road with Sarah Palin or sit down for an interview with her. That might even be a good idea.
Well, you’re just wrong about facebook.
It started out as a tool for kids, and a lot of them use it, but it is a social NETWORKING site and in 2008 Obama used it to rally his troops in an unconventional campaign that seemed to work out okay for him.
I have hooked up with many conservative activists on facebook I would never have met in real life. It is just a helpful tool that allows like minded people to get together.
Times change and Sarah is staying abreast of the latest technologies. She reaches more with a note on facebook than the viewership of any cable or network news program.
Two words from her on facebook were nearly enough to derail Obamacare (death panels) and she alone has the ability to influence the public debate with a tweet or a facebook note.
She has spent this past year reintroducing herself and her family to America. This next year you are going to see the serious policy driven Sarah, as she will continue with speeches and editorials to draw a sharp contrast between Obama and what her administration would be doing.
Just wait, this is going to be fun to watch.
Some people have no idea what is in store...
In a urinal.
Well, won't that be worth the price of admission? :-)
“The lamestream media haters arent going to follow her around.”
The heck they aren’t. They’ll live for the chance to see/hear her step in it just one time, wherever in the world she goes.
I don't get it....when Obambi was running against McCain the media made a big deal about how "tech savvy" Barry was over Johnboy. Sarah is light-years beyond Hussein understanding and using modern tech. But what do you hear from the media? Crickets chirping~

I generally like Charles and he’s very witty and articulate. However, he’s also an elitist and it seems to come out more and more lately.
One cannot post policy positions to FB and expect that it will suffice come election time. Sarah needs to enter an arena where she can interact face-to-face and answer questions in real time.
Blogging (on FB or elsewhere) tends to make one structure answers to fit the medium. If Sarah wants to be POTUS, she’ll need the ability to speak candidly and concisely without editing her words before committing to them. That’s what will launch her beyond her adoring base (of which I am one.)
While I’m not a Newt supporter, I think he has mastered the ability to take any question at any time on any subject and present a reasoned, intelligent response. I want that for Sarah. FB ain’t the place for that.
Yeah I just love these old fossils that claim being on the cutting edge is childish...yet when Obama was praised for that he was a genius....what a double standard...I guess people were surprised a black man knew how to use a Crackberry...but if you are a white woman...pish tosh...it is childish...
This is what they said about Obozo, and that is the precise reason he selected Biden as VP. If you don't know something, you don't know how to select someone to do it. I wonder why Sarah sounds so much better informed on Facebook and in her books than in person?
“At least go on the road with Sarah Palin or sit down for an interview with her. That might even be a good idea.”
Not going to happen, Onyx. Charlie lacks the virtue of humility. He honestly believes he is brilliant and he believes he is responsible for “brilliance”. Sad. And his priode and arrogance impels him to hold Palin in contempt, becaue he judges himself better than she.
Among national figures, Sarah Palin is an order apart, possessed of an array of gifts that far exceed Krauthammer’s (or any current politician, for that matter) in scope and variety. She is extremely bright, charismatic, politically astute, a fine writer, a genuinely decent person and absolutely beautiful. She is also what Krauthammer is not, that is to say: humble.... in the proper sense of the word. She does not hang her head (which is not true humility) nor deny that she has gifts or try to hide them (which would be dishonest). Rather she acknowledges that her gifts are from God and she tries every day to use them for His glory. She is a truly humble person, the rarest of the rare among politicians.
Yes, because then she'll be smart enough to become a newspaper columnist.
Ah, don’t forget Chuckles told Sarah to leave the room when it comes to HC. Chuckles has done this a couple of time basically saying the same thing Sarah said but it was a week or two later.
