An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questions Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has pleaded guilty to 1 of 2 charges against him.
At a court-martial proceeding Tuesday in Maryland, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty to not meeting with a superior when ordered to do so and not showing up at Fort Campbell in Kentucky where he was supposed to report.

Puckett announced last week that his goal, under the circumstances, no longer was to have Lakin acquitted, but to persuade his court-martial panel not to send him to prison.
During the review of panelists, Puckett made a point of asking potential jurors whether they believed an Army officer could ever justifiably disobey orders.
Puckett's defense of the fourth count, missing movement, centers on the technical point that Lakin did not violate Article 87 of the UCMJ by missing the particular flights he was supposed to take from the Washington, D.C., area to Kentucky.
"Was there a duty to be on that flight?" the defense counsel asked the court martial panel. "To find him guilty, [the prosecution] must show he had a duty to make the flight."
Puckett repeatedly has challenged prosecution witnesses to show where, in Lakin's orders, he was directed that it was his "duty" to take the specific US Air Flight 1123
I'm very happy with the trial so far," Puckett told WND , though his client already had been convicted of three counts of disobeying orders."

How do you feel about your track record of advice concerning Lakin's case so far? Could you have been more perfectly wrong?
I wish those advising Lakin on the Internet would take my challenge: Refuse to obey any law passed since 20 Jan 2009. After all, they have never been considered or signed by a REAL President, and are thus as invalid as Lakin's orders supposedly are...then you TOO will have 'standing' when the IRS, etc take you to court.
Odd, isn't it, that the Internet heroes supporting Lakin never take up that challenge.
Like others here, danamco has a perfect record of offering inaccurate legal advice to Lakin. Like others, danamco continues to obey the laws passed since 20 Jan 2009, because it is easier to blow off steam on the Internet than actually put himself in the same position as LTC Lakin.
When danamco puts himself in the same legal jeopardy as Lakin, we’ll see what he would REALLY do. Until then, you can trust this: danamco has been wrong on every prediction made about this case. And now Lakin has abandoned danamco’s advice, and is trying to minimize his sentence.
I think poorly of Lakin’s judgment. I think far worse of the Internet Lawyers egging him on. Both have bad judgment, but the Internet Lawyers are also cowards.

I guess in both cases it showed that Lakin's decision had consequences. For another officer it was another tour in the war zone. For Lakin, it was a couple of weeks in Hawaii or somewhere.
My hope is that Obama will pardon him.

You are an idiot. Next time you choose to use such a large and bold font, you might try to spell the words correctly. Its Barack, not Barak.
All of the “birth certificates” that I have seen are forgeries, so reaching a conclusion based on “evidence” presented on the internet isn’t very wise. My views are simply an opinion formed from an analysis of what the most likely scenario might be. I don’t claim it to be fact, its just an opinion.
You are certainly entitled to believe that Obama is not eligible to be President because his father was a foreign subject. But, since that fact was well known before the election, one has to wonder why the issue was not raised before the election. I don’t think that the courts would agree with you, but until a case is brought, we don’t really know, do we.
Most of the birther arguments have become nonsense. With Lakin’s trial coming to a close, my interest in the subject is waning. I’ll limit my comments to the Lakin case and you guys can carry on with the rest.
