An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questions Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has pleaded guilty to 1 of 2 charges against him.
At a court-martial proceeding Tuesday in Maryland, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty to not meeting with a superior when ordered to do so and not showing up at Fort Campbell in Kentucky where he was supposed to report.

Desertion is a capital offence period
That does not mean everyone that deserts is executed, only that they can be punished to that extent by a court martial.
Again I am reminded of the saying that Rules and Regulations are at the discretion of the commander.
The court denied him the right to prove Obama is not eligible by denying him the right to access what should be a public document. Every one of us has at one time or another had to prove who we are by showing our original birth certificates.
In Florida even that is not enough to get an official Identification card much less a driver’s license, but yet in Obama’s case we are lead to believe that an abstract certification only physically examined by two Obama supporters and posted on the internet is enough to qualify him for the highest position in our government and unquestionable command over our military.
If Obama is a natural born citizen, then he is eligible to be occupying the White House.
If he is not a natural born citizen, then the Constitution and rule of law is smacked down once again. How many times can this happen before full collapse?
Haven't we had enough experience with tyranny in the last century to know and understand how fragile freedom is and how easily nations can find themselves in the grip of death camps.

Well, I’ve rooted for him too, but he knew the odds were long. And, apparently, getting longer. I would not advise any other officers try it.
Desertion is Article 85, not 87 (Missing movement)/92 (Failure to obey order or regulation).

When Military officers refuse to engage American Citizens, will you chastise them too.
I haven't chastised any of them yet, I doubt I will in the future.
I've stated that ONE Individual's actions may have been ill advised.
it's a sad day in this Country when a decorated 18 year Military man is going to get sent away because our so called POTUS won't just simply prove his bona fides.
He's not being "sent away" for refusing orders? News to me.

In 2006 Army 1st Lt. Ehren Watada refused to deploy to Iraq. His court-martial ended in a mistrial, and he was discharged in 2009. Wataba claimed that as the war was illegal it would make him party to war crimes.
Why was the case against Wataba dropped? Because the Obama Administration was in power.

Whatever I might think about FDR in 1932 he was not only eligible for the office of the presidency but duly elected to that office as well.
Those that wanted to overthrow the Constitution that had sought out Butler, had every intention on keeping FDR on as a puppet president, it was the congress and the constitution they planned to get rid of.
Neither would I, this Government is all too powerful in its ability to protect TPTB and their agenda.
Ballot box, yeah right.....though I am still tying to hold out some hope that it can be turned around that way.
