Although this preliminary design shows a 44-cent value, the 2011 Reagan birth centennial
postage stamp will bear a "forever" inscription when issued on Feb. 10, 2011. The stamp
will always be valid for mailing a 1-ounce first-class letter, the U.S. Postal Service said.

That is very cool. As bad as the post office can be. They seem to be very neutral in regards to politics.

Might be worth a 2-hour drive west to get a cancellation mark.

Liberals? I'm surprised the GOP hasn't tried to stop it.

It would be even better if it was issued in the old gum adhesive so the Libs would have to lick it.

Next stop.....Mount Rushmore!Absolutely! The new congress should pass legislation authorizing Reagan's addition to Rushmore so 0bama would have to sign it into law. That would drive him crazy.

Why would we EVER send a letter with any other stamp again!? Stock up! Exactly my thought. Maybe I'll drive over to the Berkeley Post Office and buy a couple hundred there. Should make the bone-heads go crazy.

This will be the only stamp my house will use (except maybe during the Christmas season). Will this stamp be available for a limited time or indefinitely? The Dec 28 release date for the forever stamp is 2010 or 2011?
