Olson: Prop 8 Supporters Lack "Rational Basis"

Famed attorney Ted Olson told a 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel Monday that the reason proponents of Proposition 8 have proffered to justify their ban on same-sex marriage is "nonsense."

That reason, said Olson, reading from a page in the argument brief filed by attorneys for the Yes on 8 coalition which promoted passage of California's ban on same-sex marriage, was that same-sex marriage "will make children prematurely preoccupied with issues of sexuality."

"If believed," said Olson, "that would justify the banning of comic books, television, video games, and even conversations between children."...

"Protecting our children," said Olson, "is not a rational basis. It's based on the idea there's something wrong with" gay people.

Gay activists gained access to their people’s children through the legalization of Gay Marriage in MA. These activists do not have to undergo CORI (criminal) background checks in order to do so. But if the Kiwanis Club wants to participate in the Reading Is Fundamental program, they do have to undergo them.

It is this absolute moron Olson who has no rational basis for his claim that the Constitution protects a person’s sexual behavior from legislation. It is an absolute absurd position that would lead towards tyranny. And he is also wrong about homosexuality in every way. Homosexuality is a corruption of natural sexuality and there absolutely is something wrong with anyone who engages in such behavior.

And there are health risks they pose to society.

And they want the rest of society to cover their associated medical costs for their unhealthy, risky behavior.

And they are far more likely as a group to sexually abuse minors.

And they are far more likely to be mentally unbalanced.

And there is something wrong with ANY person who cannot figure out what’s wrong with homosexuality. And not only that, but takes pride in being wrong about it, demanding others accept and pat them on the back for who they choose to sleep with.

Why should anyone feel pride because one guy puts his penis inside another guys’ rectum. Or two women rubbing themselves against each other. And they want the whole world to celebrate it and tell them how good they are. Talk about self-centered and needing attention.

Gay marriage is rational? Not according to any definition of rationality I’ve seen. Charles Darwin is in agreement with the Bible on this one. Homosexuality is counterproductive and deficient, and can only reproduce itself by stealing other people’s children.

It’s an irrational world when there is a high profile attorney trying to make the “rational” argument that the relationship between 2 men is the same as the relationship between a man and a woman.

The Democrat agenda and rationality are mutually exclusive.

Protecting our [women and] children is not rational? That is what civilization - at least a God fearing Civilization - is supposed to do.

The 'idea there is something wrong with sodomites' is found in the Bible (God's Word), as well as (again) in any God fearing Civilization.

To be fair, the Bible shows us that there is something wrong with all of us (not just sodomites) because we are all sinners, however to encourage people to remain in open sin, and to pretend that abominations are perfectly fine, is a lie worthy of the father of lies. Sodomites are done no favors by telling them that they are 'gay' (and not sodomites), and by telling them they don't need to repent and flee the sin in which they are ensnared. And not teaching these basic tenants to children, but instead teaching them that the sodomite lifestyle is 'wonderful' - is dangerous and deadly. You might as well teach the children that drunkenness, drug abuse, and promiscuity is a fine way of life. These folks probably think its a good idea to throw a poisonous viper amongst the children.

I certainly hope the prop 8 forces can find a better argument than that to present to the scotus (if they get that far ). I can think of a much better tact and I’m not a lawyer.

Civil marriage based on the quality of a couples’ love will lead to poligamy, incest and other such “love” -based unions having legitimacy. Civil marriage, as protection for women and children against abandonment, and as a way to avoid conflict over inheritance and lineages, is the true issue.

With the practiced behaviors, because there are dominant behaviors practiced by the gay community which are unsanitary and seriously risky for spreading a wide variety of diseases amongst those who practice them.

I am perfectly fine with the educational system letting loads of people know that certain sexual behaviors are just not neccessarily good, and have their loaded health risks with them, similar to how the surgeon general at least has some admission that smoking poses risks to your health.
