He`s leaving to become the head of the UN, this has apparently been the plan all along.
He can say he would run for a 2nd term but he has been asked to take a higher office where he can make a bigger mess of things

You are correct. I have always though he wouldn’t finish his first term. He has never had a job he didn’t quit in about two to three years.
