Mehlman: Time for GOP to support gay marriage
CNN Ticker ^ | December 10, 2010 | Alexander Mooney

Posted on 12/10/2010 2:50:12 PM PST by Hawk720

Ken Mehlman, the former Republican National Committee Chairman who last summer announced he was gay, says it's time the GOP publicly support same-sex marriage.

Mehlman's new position – once all but unthinkable from the man who ran former President George Bush's 2004 reelection bid – comes more than three months after he shocked many in Washington with his announcement.

But in an interview with the website The Big Think, Mehlman says he has come to believe that supporting gay rights is a logical extension of the principles the GOP seeks to advance.

"I do hope the Republican Party in the future, will look in the mirror and leaders in the party will think about where we stand and say, 'You know what? The party of Lincoln ought to be about letting adults who love each other to be married.' And the party of Lincoln ought to be about giving people more personal freedom," Mehlman told the website, in remarks published Friday.

Ever notice how the tolerant fags always think EVERYBODY ought
embrace what they embrace? There is no room for tolerance with them.Marriage is the union of a man and a woman in holy estate (matrimony) Everything else is fornication or adultery and an abomination unto the Lord. In other words same sex unions/ civil unions are Fraud and a dilution of the trademark.

In other words Ken Mehlman, the former Republican National Committee Chairman, wants "the party of Abraham Lincoln" to CELEBRATE PERVERSITY.

The Gay Agenda is very clear:

Promote Homosexuality as "normal" and "healthy" behaviour.

NEWSFLASH KEN: Homosexuals don't REPRODUCE they RECRUIT! They need more recruits! Those recruits are American children. No thanks Ken. Homosexuality is slavery of a soul. Abraham Lincoln was about freeing slaves not making slaves.

Anyone who saw Mehlman on TV could tell he was a flaming sodomite. He needs to repent and leave the deathstyle.

I agree with your choice of terms. Upthread, I commented on how the word "gay" had been perverted in my lifetime by these homosexual deviants.

Even better is your word "deathstyle". That aptly describes what it really is -- since it's certainly not a lifestyle.

OUT WITH THE RINOS AND SODOMITES!

“Gay marriage” is not a federal issue, nor is an issue that should be decided by judges at any level of government. Marriage should be defined by the sovereign people of each State, through our State legislature or by State-wide referendum. If we the people were still free to decide this issue for ourselves as God intends and as the Constitution provides, there would be no “gay marriage”.

He wants something that in fifteen thousand years of human history has never existed.

His problems are bigger than anything politics can solve.

Marriage is a religious concept; civil unions are not and bequeath all the same rights.

In asking for “marriage” gays go to far because conservatives are wise enough to see that as an attack on religion driven by aetheists, not an appeal from gays for equal rights.

Should “gay” marriage become law of the land, the attack would proceed against all religious institutions and their ministers/rabbis, etc, forcing people who believe being gay is a sin to comply with the law.

Lets all hold hands and sing we are the world.....Maybe if the Muslims object hey will give it some more thought before pushing this, since they obviously don’t seem to care what Christians think.

He wants any adults to be able to get married. Does he really mean that? ANY adults? Children, animals? Why stop there?

Why not make marriage totally meaningless and define it out of existence?

Why not compell every Christian family, church and business to recognize and welcome homosexual employees and teachers and anyone who wants to force their lifestyle on you and your kids — a powerful gang of radical homosexuals supported by the liberal media, Hollywood, rampaging judges and the force of law.

I guess it was inevitable as this is step #2 in coming out of the closet. First step is to publicly flaunt the lifestyle followed by the need to wed and engage in related political action.

I’d support any gay man in his search to find a woman who will marry him.

How many more running the party are still in the closet helping to destroy both party and nation? National exceptance of homosexuality is not a survival trait as a nation or even community for that matter.

Governor Romney. These are all friends, these are all great leaders."

When you see the kind of marsh-mellows that GWB had on his staff, VP and SECDEF excluded, it’s a wonder he was as strong as he was.

How about government getting out of marriage completely and leaving it to the churches? I'll support there. There's no homo marriage in my church.

Marriage is indeed best left up to the churches. When government began to tax and oversee it a lot of the problems began. By the 1960's government programs through LBJ had taken over many marriages and began destroying many families in the process.

On the other hand I know of very few persons who would want to stand before the Alter in GOD's house acting in a abomination before Him. GOD did not spare Sodom and Gomorrah nor for that matter era 70 AD Rome where morals were abandoned nor if this continues will he spare the United States.

Although there are now only a few threads left showing, that will be the day that the towel is finally thrown in completely on the RINO GOP!
