I’m late to this thread, so this has probably been said a hundred times by now, but it sounds to me like Obama just really, really needed a smoke. I lived with a smoker for many years, and there are just certain situations that trigger an unstoppable need.

Fwiw, I do think Obama is melting down. It isn’t and won’t happen all at once, however. He will keep crumbling a bit at a time until finally not even the MSM can ignore the train wreck.

I’m gonna have to disagree. As a long time smoker I never left an intense situation to smoke a cigarette and I’m talking doing brain surgery and open-hearts.

BO was just punked. He’s a maroon whether he smokes or not.

Didn't you hear on the news last night they said he hasn't had a cigarette since May.

Like I believe that report. I don't know of anyone who has quit smoking losing as much weight as he has. Most gain. I know, as I did.

I was once a big time smoker, and it's true. Unstoppable craving. When that chemical "urge" strikes, STAND BACK..... smokers will cut short phone calls, abruptly end meetings, vacate a lunch table, abandon hallway discussions, jump out of cars, freeze on the front steps, etc., etc. So I agree, Obama's performance had the distinct look of a nicotine "fit". Sadly, I used to do all those things. If this was the reason for this atrocious behaviour, I feel sorry for him. It's a vicious addiction, and pure poison to the body.

On the other hand, he may simply be the product of a lack of etiquette and the social graces in his formative years.
