Incensed over President Obamas tax compromise, House Democratic leaders are showing signs of abandoning the administration and going their own way on critical issues such as national security.
In a striking move, the appropriations committee late Wednesday attached a provision to a $1.1 trillion resolution to keep the government funded next year that would prevent Obama from spending any funds to try terrorism suspects in civilian court instead of military commissions.
The language would essentially prevent the closing of the detainee prison at Guantanamo Bay.
Some House Democrats viewed the move as an act of defiance and a direct demonstration of just how furious the caucus is with Obamas decision to work with Republicans to extend the Bush-era tax cuts.
But many other Democrats, including Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), a member of the defense appropriations subcommittee, said they didnt even know the provision was included.
Morans anger with the president boiled over in a short interview Thursday with The Hill about the provision and the tax debate held shortly after the Democratic caucus voted to reject Obamas tax-cut deal.
This is a lack of leadership on the part of Obama, fumed Moran (D-Va.) I dont know where the f*** Obama is on this or anything else. Theyre AWOL.

Obama is a plural entity?
Does it really matter what House Democrats think in a few weeks?
Sorry, but I'm afraid that's just not possible. The Democrats' official rule book of Double Standards clearly states that Democrats can not be guilty of the same things they accuse Republicans of.
It's not racist for a Democrat to disagree with Obama, or even for one to hurl their worst invective at him. However, Republicans can be excoriated in the press, and professionally ruined for even thinking the same things.
Them's the rules, bud. Better luck next time.
Except I do not accept the Dem rules. And since the main stream media no longer controls the message we can also ignore their nullified rule book. It's a new day.
I know. I don't accept the "rules" either, but our side has yet to dislodge the Commies from the mainstream media and all of our major institutions. We'll get there, but we've got a long way to go.
In the meantime, expect the double standards in MSM reporting and broad public perceptions to continue.
