As for the military, I served and I served in a combat unit for years.
We do survival training, i.e. sharing sleeping bags for body warmth etc
Now I have to share showers, a room, be in close quarters for months together. It’s bad enough how we had to live in small places but now maybe with two homosexual men, NO WAY.

Will they force chaplains t marry them?
What if an officer who is openly a homosexual takes a liking t a young private while in a war zone,you can be sure he will not send his new playmate on point, how will promotions work now?
What about medals and names mentioned for them?
Will their be homosexual parties on base?

I’m with you on all your points, but did you also know that Jeh Johnson, the DoD legal Counsel actually said during the Senate hearings that a new program for the military could be started that would give single servicemembers the right to have designated partners who would receive benefits similar to those spouses receive now, without a marriage contract? In his view, that would make it “fair” for the homosexual service members who couldn’t legally marry their partners. (This would be extended to all single service members.) Can you imagine? Like we can already afford to fight these wars as it is, without adding an extra expense like this, on top of having to deal with group sleeping quarters, sodomizing battle buddies, group showers, open privies, etc.? Johnson is an Obama appointee. That’s how clueless this administration is concerning the realities of the military. Classic maneuver to collapse the system by overloading it.

The unspoken truth behind a lot of the euphemisms like “preparedness” and “readiness” is that a compromised, demoralized fighting force will result in a lot of extra deaths and injuries.

Dear Senator Collins,

Please do not support a repeal of the ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ (DADT) policy. The damage to the morale and unit cohesion of our fighting forces, especially during a time of war, will be irreparable. We will lose at least 25 percent of our combat personnel if this policy is reversed.

Notwithstanding the false consensus of support for the repeal, put forth by the recently released Pentagon Report, in reality there is no such acceptance. The questions were worded as a “push poll,” using a method that left little or no option for expressing dissent over repealing the DADT policy. The participants were given no opportunity to freely express their objections to allowing the recruiting or retention of openly homosexual personnel. In short, the DOD questionnaire was clearly designed by intellectually dishonest bureaucrats who have an agenda contrary to the best interests of America’s military and our nation’s defense.

The costs of repealing the current policy will far outweigh any social considerations being advanced by proponents of the repeal. Not least of these consequences will be issues of blood contamination and problematic medical care for HIV-infected combat personnel in a battle-field environment.

The military is not meant to act as a lab for social experimentation. Please refrain from using it as such.
