Ruh roh! It appears that because of reasons surrounding the facts that while Costco has carried iPods and iTunes cards from their retail locations for quite a while now, Apple has never allowed them to sell Apple items on their webpage (like other retailers can) and Costco didnt gain distribution rights for the iPad, Costcos pulling the plug. Costco is said to be the third largest retailer and the largest membership warehouse dealer in the USA. Them stopping sales of Apple products completely is almost certainly going to be a stinger in Apples side.
Them not learn good English in Wigwam when child
And I can’t in good faith buy anything from a company knowing full well that the company will use my own money for political efforts I detest.
Maybe Apple makes great stuff. Maybe Barbara Streisand makes great movies and great music. Either way, I’m not buying.
I've been thinking of picking up an IPAD but after seeing this article, I can rule out the notion.
There is no way that this “policy” can be considered good for consumers.
I've purchased things at Costco that were much cheaper than they were at more conventional outlets.
Why would I want to pay more money for the same item because of Apple's tyrannical marketing policies?
I don't.
Apple makes it, they sell it, retailers (middle men) buy it and sell it to consumers.
Why tamper with something that ain't broke? I want to buy things at better prices. That is what capitalism is about.
Really? You sound like a thoughtful person whose opinion I certainly would value. Not.
“Maybe Apple makes great stuff. Maybe Barbara Streisand makes great movies and great music. Either way, Im not buying.”
All right.

They’ll more than make up for it when Verizon gets the iPhone.
Do you use Windows?
Nice to see someone giving the middle finger to the Cupertino Gangtas.
And Apple is selling iPads as fast as they can make them, at full price. Capitalism is about that, too.
I agree totally on both items.
I’d add that his product genius extends to a true vision of where technology is headed.

Yes. A common practice is to throw in a zip case to carry it in.
LOL... Okay, but you’re still wrong about Apple products and their sales prove it. I love their products and their service is outstanding.
Ubuntu
Yeah, right. What world do you live in?
Check, just acksin’
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Duh! Costco's Board of Directors includes Bill Gates Sr., the father of Microsoft's Bill Gates and Jeff Riakes, CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with 25 years at Microsoft.
I was told about a year ago by a Costco employee that they would NEVER again sell Apple Computers for that reason. It's not big surprise.
I believe Costco will come out the worse for this.
And your point about Jobs making his last political donation six years ago is?
I find it much more interesting to see the donations Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer made to Patty Murray, Harry Reid, Arlen Spectre, the Democrat National Campaign Committee and Nancy Pelosi THIS YEAR to be more interesting... regardless that they both deviously played both sides against the middle.
I kind of prefer the honesty of choosing one side and sticking with it, instead of hedging bets. "Would that you were one or the other" - Revelations 3. I know where Jobs stands...
