Despite rumors that various splinter forces within the Republican party are attempting to block Ron Paul's fateful chairmanship of the Monetary Policy Subcommittee, we now have confirmation that the only sane politician left will now be Ben Bernanke's direct nemesis during any and all future Congressional spectacles starring the printing unchallenged one. And with US debt creeping ever closer to the debt ceiling, coupled with the dollar for dollar monetization of the US deficit, such spectacles will soon be plenty.

Joe McCarthy was a Senator. So he was not on the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA/HUAC). He was not involved with the Hollywood investigations.

I’m amazed that people here still buy into the Evil McCarthy meme.
I’m familiar with this. My point is: McCarthy went off the deep end partly becasue of his alcoholism. He was right on the money about most of what he exposed, but at the end, he became delusional.
For the past 40 years, the dems have repeated lies to cover their treasonous butts. Most folks take those lies as gospel despite history proving McCarthy right.
I would hope RP will take a measured approach to the FED. They are a powerful bunch of greedy thugs who think nothing of destorying or offing someone.
We have got to get control of our government. Riening in the FED is a high priority.
It has long been said, somewhat jokingly, “435 to Ron Paul”.
Now it will be painfully obvious, if there is any truth to the rumor.
Frankly, I hope he succeeds wildly in ripping the guts out of the fed, and laying the history out for all to see. Oversight of every dollar the government collects, and expenditures only with the approval of the Constitution of the United States of America, is for me job one and two.

After I read the Venona Secrets, I made it a personal mission in my life to correct every mistruth about McCarthy that I encounter on the Internet. I’ve even posted corrections to the Huffies.
