A Baltimore man has been arrested and charged with plotting with undercover FBI operatives to blow up a military recruiting station in Catonsville with what he believed to be a vehicle bomb, officials said Wednesday.
He will make an appearance Wednesday afternoon in federal court in Baltimore, the officials said. Details of the plot are expected to be released then.
The bomb was a fake and he was being monitored by federal agents the whole time, the officials said. There never was any danger to the public.

“The Associated Press first reported the arrest. An official who was briefed on the arrest told the AP on the condition of anonymity, because he was not authorized to release the information, that the individual is a United States citizen.”
