Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine: Video
Members of a bipartisan group of lawmakers called the Congressional Prayer Caucus want to make sure President Obama knows the country's national motto.
Forty-one Republicans and one of the five Democrats from the caucus sent a letter to the president asking him to correct a mistake he made during a speech last month in Jakarta, Indonesia when he said -- quote -- "In the United States, our motto is E Pluribus Unum -- out of many, one."
The lawmakers point out the official national motto -- approved by Congress in 1956 -- is "In God We Trust." The letter calls it -- quote -- "a disservice to the people you represent."
Caucus leaders also point out President Obama's omission of the word "creator" on more than one occasion when quoting from the Declaration of Independence.

I’m surprised he didn’t say “E Pluribus Obama”!
If not, he'll never read it.
Oh, everbody just stop picking on the poor man!
Exactly correct.
Never codified by law, E pluribus unum was considered a de facto motto of the United States until 1956 when the United States Congress passed an act (H.J. Resolution 396), adopting In God We Trust as the official motto.
In God We Trust is the official motto of the United States.
You forgot the sarcasm tags, right?
All others pay cash.
Had a conservative made that mistake, it would have led the Lamestream media nightly news, and Perky Couric would have had a man in the street polling people on how hypocritical conservatives are that they didn’t know the motto involved G-O-D.
But let’s not forget Jerk the Wonder Prez is a “Christian” after all.
Good thing Palin didn’t say it, or it would be on the front page of the NYT this morning.
For many many years, “In God We Trust” has been the official motto of Army supply sergeants, even though it’s followed by, “All Others, Sign!”
Anyway, this is as bad as Algore declaring that “E Pluribus Unum” means “Out of one, many!”
Cr@p, when does it ever end.........
“We can build a collective civic space large enough for all our separate identities, that we can be e pluribus unum — out of one, many.” Al Gore in 1994.
One of the meaningless phrases that the left often uses is “otherizing” certain groups of people. It’s a “bad thing” to them.
We see in 0bama the very reason that people should be suspicious of “the other”.
Brewski, I am shocked, shocked, I tell you, by your cynicism.
Today in our thankfully tolerant America, even a rather effeminate kid from Mombasa can become President, despite poor grades and communist mentors. Barney Frank said it best when he said, "I am 100% behind this man."

Besides the obvious fact that Obama gets most things about America wrong, it’s interesting that he does his worst at any references to God. Is he afraid that “Allah” will slip out of his vile mouth if he tries to say “Creator” or “God”, and that even his remaining supporters will realize that he’s lying about his claim to Christianity as he is about most other parts of his life?
The TeleprompturdOTUS didn’t screw up. In his world In Islam We Trust, In Mohammed We Trust, In Me We Trust all work for him. God?! No way.
