Informal discussions have already been held between the US and Swedish officials about the possibility of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange being delivered into US custody, according to diplomatic sources.

Mr Assange was in a British jail last night awaiting extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted over allegations that he sexually assaulted two women.

Beck went over these sex charges on his show this evening. He doesn’t like Assange but he showed what these supposed sexual assault charges actually consist of and it’s utterly ridiculous.

Basically, two leftist groupies did him at a conference in Stockholm and decided after the fact that it constituted assault because he wouldn’t wear a condom. Sexual assault by lefty campus morning-after standards. Utterly ridiculous, and only legally viable in neutered Sweden.

The Swedish charges are clearly crap. But the U.S. will have a hard time trying him for anything useful either.

But if they try, that will set off the "insurance" release he's warned about.

This is playing out like a script from "Mission Impossible".

I give up. Can’t we keep anything a secret?

Personally I believe it was a setup, arranged in anticipation of this current scenario. They can't get him on the data release, but they can put him in jail for not wrapping his rascal, and keep him out of circulation.

... as though that will stop Wikileaks. Uh, huh, best of luck with that, you government morons. Geez.

And therein lies the REAL problem and issue here.

We still haven't learned a damn thing about how to share information between friendly agencies without it getting out to the general public on the basis of just ONE disgruntled individual.

What the heck ever happened to "need to know" as a requirement for getting access to secure info???

We need to lock up all of our secrets with Obama’s birth certificate.

In ‘Area 51’ maybe . . .

Don't you wish they'd work this hard to kill off some truly evil heads of state? Clean the place up a bit...

The boy has got it made! N O T O R I E T E E !!! That’s all you need in this country. Publishers are lining up with zillion dollah offers. Larry King’s calling. Hollywood wants to film his life story (Sean Penn to play the hero.) What’s the little inconvenience of a legal case?! No problema for U.S. legal sharks.

This guy is nothing but a patsy and receiver of stolen goods.

If the source of the US's own the security breach was determined, this is what's important. That source is still our there no matter what they do to Assange.

I'm positive that Holder will actively prosecute him to the full extent of the law!

Well, maybe he won't call him a terrorist,or a traitor, more like a facilitator..

Maybe, he's just a misguided foreigner, who has infiltrated all the secret stuff of the world governments.

Yeah, he's just a nice guy who wished for all the world to know what's going on between countries.

But, then again he screwed some girl without a condom, that must be at least a slap on the pee-pee before we let him go, to get back to his leak files!
