If this were the 19th and early 20th century this would be a valid point. One hunter or a million with a 7mm against satellite guided missiles operated from thousands of miles away is not much of a defense.
Winning territory with those missiles is one thing. But then the invader has to put his boots on our ground, and that’s where it goes very, very badly for him.
Invaders would never come until their allies in congress changes the Second Amendment and they try to take our guns.
Bovine Scat! If 1 man with a rifle and the will to use it is obsolete, why aren’t we home from Iraq, Afghanistan and the Southern Philippines? How were two home-grown Moslems (one a juvenile!) able to terrorize Washington for so long?
Unless Mr. Obama has a death ray that we don’t know about, he has no way of overcoming such a force, short of thermonuclear weapons.
Not true. Those weapons are expensive, and you still need boots on the ground to hold land. We’ve sadly learned that against much smaller, similarly armed, and much less educated forces in the Middle East.
Any foreign invader would be shredded here. That is, if we as a people recognized it as such and acted...
Imagine you're in control of a battery of satellite controlled missiles. You have to eliminate 1 million hunters, at a distance of 1,000 miles. The hunters are deployed at a density of about 4-5 per square mile. Each of your missiles has a blast radius of a few hundred feet. Do the math.

Saw this on GB today. You never know who the enemy might be.
Not so.
During WW2 the Germans took over Yugoslavia. Josip Broz, also known as Tito, was the most powerful resistance leader. He was interviewed early in the war, and asked the following question:
“How can your men, armed largely with old rifles, possibly hope to defeat the Wehrmacht and its new Panzers?”
Tito’s answer displayed both his tactical and strategic genius:
“When the Germans come out of their new tanks to take a piss, my men will shoot them with their old rifles.”
It is all about choosing the time and place of battle and, for an inferior force, avoiding the enemy’s strength. We have and are actively using the same weapons you speak of right NOW, yet the ill-educated, cave-dwelling, worshippers of a murderous pedophile are still fighting us-and it is WE who will leave soon, as did the Russians and British before us. Your “analysis” takes no account of strategy, tactics or willpower, a mistake made by many.
Here in America, the high-crime areas are the areas that have the most onerous gun control laws. This is because criminals feel secure operating in an environment where law-abiding citizens are unarmed.
This article has much merit. Millions of well-armed Americans bode well for our security. Let's hope the gun-grabbers never achieve their goals.
Losses are expected in all battles. Just how many missiles do you think exist and how long would it be before the World’s Largest Army tyook control of the assembly plant?
The Warsaw Uprising in 1943 was begun with 11 guns the Jews managed to find/steal. They used those to get others. It took the Germans a month to wipe them out. With 11,000 guns or more, they could have held out longer. Winning was out of the question in that instance. However, not every struggle between unequal opponents comes out that way....Vietnam, Afghanistan, and other insurgencies are proof that superior technology does not automatically confer victory.
“One hunter or a million with a 7mm against satellite guided missiles operated from thousands of miles away is not much of a defense.”
So why are we still over there in the sandbox fighting rusted AK-47s? Also, we Americans built those “satellite guided missiles” and those satellites. We can remove them just as well if they are ever turned on us.
Apparently you don’t follow or understand recent history....

A million satellite guided missiles? :) You place too much faith in technology.
