I understand that he is in possession of emails from the DNC from 2007 stating that they will encourage "a primary challenge to President Obama in the event that he is unable to plug the BP oil spill."

He got them from a woman named Consuela that he met in a Texas FedExOffice.

Dan’s an idiot. Hillary’s presidential aspirations have have been permanently relegated to the dustbin of history. She will not be the first woman president: that will be a Republican.

No other LEFTIST could possibly run farther left than Obama. Dan Rather should go interview Jimmy Carter. Dan can keep asking the same questions and Jimmy could keep giving the same answers.

"Obama only has 4-6 months to turn things around before they consider another candidate."

BS. Unless Obama magically stops being half-black sometime in the near future, he fears a primary challenge like bear fears a bunny.

So long as Obama enjoys near 100% support from black Dems - and that is NOT going to change - no one can unseat him. Democrats (and especially the far left) made their racial-identity political bed, now that have to sleep with it.

Dan Who?

Oh yeah- so-called ‘reporter’ who ran the ‘fake but accurate’ news about Bush (W) just before an election.

The one the Pajams Media TOOK OUT after years of bias.

He even stood by it after it was discovered to be fake based on his view that the so-called ‘facts’ were “right on the money”

Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, recently defeated in his Senate re-election bid, has been mentioned.

I don't know that such a challenge from the left would be a good thing for Republicans. The challenge would surely fail, and would let Obama "triangulate" to an extent, and even try to pass himself off as a moderate.

Obama doesn’t have a chance of winning in 2012. Republicans hate him just as do the Democrats. He is another Specter.

Most Americans are extremely angry about the arrogance of Wall Street and how they are the only ones that have benefited from the huge obligations put on the US taxpayers by Bush and Obama and the Federal Reserve, even though they and the risks that they took were instrumental in causing this depression.

America would have been happy to have seen Goldman and these bankers strung up on a yardarm for what their have done. Instead Obama rewarded them because they own him and installed him.

This is the post-WWII record for an incumbent president who draws a primary challenger from his party's base, i.e conservative for Republicans and liberal for Dems:

Lyndon Johnson/Eugene McCarthy. Resigned.

Gerald Ford/Ronald Reagan. Defeated.

Jimmy Carter/Ted Kennedy. Defeated.

George H.W. Bush/Pat Buchanan. Defeated.

Barry Obama/?

A Leftist third party challenge or strong Democrat party challenger would be the best scenario for the election of a real conservative like Palin.

This is the type of third party candidate I can believe in. The Left is growing weary of 0bama mostly because of his core incompetency. 0bama does not know the art of deception is mandatory for the political survival of Leftist even in a waning republic. 0bama has failed to “look tough” or play the populist well enough like that rascal slick Willie.

It’s not enough to be ruthless. A Leftist must be ruthless but also smart enough to appear compassionate.

Rather might be correct, but a from-the-left challenge would only AID Obama in staging “triangulation.”
